Castaways was amazing in all of our dealings with them. No request we had was too hard and it didn’t take too long to answer any questions.

On the wedding day they even quickly made up some table numbers as ours were left out of our stationery.

The location recently had a make over and it looks amazing and is now very modern. It would suit any colour scheme.

Our guests all told us how nice the food was and how lovely the staff were. They were very quick when we had to change our ceremony to inside last minute due to rain that came out of nowhere.

The accomodation team are amazing and the studios and chalets are very nice.

Have a venue visit and you will fall in love with the location.

We were hugely disappointed that a conference was booked in over the week of our wedding and ran up until 12pm the day of the wedding and cause an early pack up the night of the wedding. It really made us feel like we were not a priority and were not getting value for money.

As a result of this double booking a lot of balls were dropped.
The music coordination, at an extra cost was shocking, the lawn games were never put out, the bouquet toss music was forgotten, the fairy lights at an extra 300 dollar cost were never put up and everything was hastily packed up. The accommodation staff were amazing, and it is such a pity that the actual day was so poorly coordinated because it is such a beautiful venue which was the saving grace.

Castaways was amazing! For some people, the view would be enough, but the staff at Castaways top it off with their excellent, professional and courteous service. Our dealings with them from planning through to the end of the night was nothing short of excellent.

Two suggestions we would add is for the Castaways staff to set aside food for the newly wed couple as sometimes the two can become engrossed in the moment, they forget to eat and find themselves desperately hungry at the end of the night; and also, for the functions and accommodation staff to work more closely together.

Apart from that, Castaways = Amazingly Memorable! Thank you again guys!!

Castaways was a beautiful venue, our photos have shown to be absolutly stunning. Everyone has commented on how beautiful a setting it was and have made special mention on how great the food was! The photo booth service they offer was a lots of fun and our guests and ourselves had a great time! Although our main wedding co-ordinator Claire was a pleasure to deal with and fairly quick to respond to emails etc. prior to the wedding,we did have some issues dealing with multiple people the day before and day of in regards to services the venue had to organise. We felt like we were constantly having to repeat ourselves or were being told different things by multiple people. Perhaps to avoid future problems there should be one main co-ordiantor and couples deal with him/her and the co-ordinator then relays all info to their team, so there is no confusion on the day or prior. In saying this myself (the bride) and all the guests had no idea this went on, was just a little stressful the morning of for future hubby and his men. Would definatly reccommend Castaways as beautiful food, location and little services like the photo booth will mean an amazing day!

The service and venue where fabulous. WE cannot recommend it highly enough. Claire and the team at Castaways were just wonderful. The food was devine - well done!

Castaways was an amazing wedding venue, the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating, and the venue itself is absolutely stunning.  We would highly recommend Castaways to anyone.

Our very special thanks go to Claire, Roddy and the rest of the team at Castaways for our magical wedding day in February 2013.  Everything was exactly as we requested, right down to the smallest detail.  Many of our guests had traveled a long way to help us celebrate our marriage and we were determined to have the party last as long as possible!  We all checked in and got ready in the superb accommodation, danced until 1am then brunched in the morning overlooking the stunning Karioitahi Beach.  Everyone was blown away by the amazing vista’s and they all raved about the food!  We’re also really pleased with our photos which we had taken in the on-site Spa’s ‘zen garden’, on the cliffs and down on the beach.  We’ve ended up with a great variety of photos without having to travel away from our guests.  Thanks again team, you gave us exactly the wedding we’d dreamed of!

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with all the staff at castaways.  the venue was amazing!!! the day was fantastic and on the day the person allocated to us was so calm and it settled my nerves and the bridesmaids.  I have recommended this venue to all my friends yet to be married.  I cant express in words how awesome this place is especially if you are looking for an outdoor/beach wedding.  The accomodation is outstanding.

Castaways provided an excellent venue, the flexibility from staff was excellent. Roddy the manager on the night was a standout performer right from when we checked in providing progress updates on the function set up progress to the smooth running on the night.

excellent, discrete service all the way through from the first inquiry through to the planning & delievering stage. The food was excellent & plenty of it.
 
  Nothing was too much trouble, for example, the ceremony was set up for inside as it was the winter season but on the day the weather was sunny so at the last minute they shifted the seats out on to the cliff top for the preferred option of the bridal party

This was the best day of our lives. Food Fabulous, Service fabulous And the venue location perfect. These guys at Castaways will bend over backwards for you and your bridal party. The whole team put in 120%. I was truly amazed. Thanks heaps to making our special day magical.

Absolutey amazing location, the view is stunning.  we had our wedding there and all the guests commented about it being the best venue they have been to for a wedding, definitely recommend it for weddings!! Staff are great to deal with too!!

We just had our wedding at Castaways and it was the most amazing day. The views are breathtaking. The staff is fabulous, the setup staff very helpful and knowledgeable, the staff on the day was also great, special mention to Roddie who takes care of everything. Food was fantastic as well. And the photo booth is a must, makes for amazing memories to keep forever.

All in all, exceeded our expectations.
