The cake she created for our wedding day was truly a masterpiece and literally took our breaths away when we saw it for the first time after our ceremony. 

We had decided to have our cake as an afternoon tea cake for the guests to enjoy in the afternoon and one of our most memorable moments of the day was standing by that gorgeous cake under the trees after our ceremony whilst our guests trickled through the trees.

We couldn’t believe that in one 15 minute meeting whilst devouring her gorgeous cupcakes and coffee she knew exactly what we wanted and then was able to create a cake that looked like a representation of us, capturing the essence of everything we wanted for our day.  A simple but elegant maple and walnut three tiered cake with salted caramel half naked icing on a wooden round which had the feeling of being inspired by nature. 

It was incredible and so good that it was all gone in less than an hour!

Thank you Danielle, you have a very special gift not just for cake making but creating food that tells a story with lasting memories.

Spongedrop catered our entire wedding including the cake. We had a High Tea for our reception and the food was delicious and well presented.

She also made our wedding cake and was happy to include flavours not on her standard list. The cake was also delicious and all of our quests thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Danielle did an amazing job of our cake for our wedding. It was gorgeous to look at and eat. We chose a two tier of lime + coconut, and chocolate + salted caramel. The cake was iced with white chocolate buttercream. It was the best cake I have ever eaten!

My husband & I were blown away when we first saw our three tiered masterpiece straight after our wedding ceremony.
Danielle delivered the cake to the venue a few hours prior to our ceremony and set it up on the stand we had supplied and placed the topper.
After much communication, which Danielle was very quick & efficient with, we decided on a wedding cake with simplistic detailing & maximum flavour.
We had 10’, 8’ and 6’ cakes in chocolate fudge cake with dulce de leche filling, white chocolate mudcake with lime syrup and ginger chiffon cake with salted caramel buttercream and walnuts; the how cake was petal piped with vanilla bean swiss meringue buttercream.
It was an absolute hit; this cake was demolished by 63 guests with only 6 small pieces leftover for us to take home.
Danielle was just so lovely to deal with and I would highly recommend her to any couple thinking about acquring a beautiful, affordable, delicious wedding cake.

We met Danielle at her home in Tauranga before our wedding and sampled some of her beautiful cake flavours and discussed sizes and details. We decided that we would have the cake for dessert so it was quite a large 3 tier with simple white ruffle icing. It was so beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

We chose two flavour combinations which were delicious. I highly recommend the chocolate fudge with caramel filling! Very cute macaroon thank you goodie bag was left for us on the bridal party too - nice surprise.

We had three cakes for our wedding and they were AMAZING!! Thank you so much!! They were perfect!!

Some advice to other brides and groomed - Get your caterers to save you a slice of your cakes before everyone else gets into them as these bad boys disappear so quickly. I’ve never seen cakes disappear so fast in my life, they tasted as good as they looked, absolutely beautiful!!

We live in London and contacted Danielle via email with a picture of a wedding cake I had seen on Pinterest.  She was able to provide photos of similar cakes that she had made.  We then agreed to meet 2 weeks prior to the wedding once we had arrived in NZ to sample her cakes and agree on the final details.  Danielle is very professional and accommodating and Our wedding cake (naked sponge cake) was amazing.  It looked fantastic, tasted delicious, and even included a gluten free tier so our son could enjoy it as well. All of our guests and friends who either saw and ate the cake or who have see a picture of it comment on how fabulous it was.  I would recommend Danielle’s services to anyone looking for a quality wedding cake.

Danielle created the most amazing cake and cupcakes for our wedding.  I showed her the ‘inspiration’ picture and handed it over to her to work her magic.  Needless to say the design aesthetics fit perfectly into our overall wedding theme and every flavour of cake was delicious.

Danielle is great cooker and a very creative person. She has made our Wedding cake look and taste amazing ! She also made some mini cupcakes, chocolate pops and macaroons which were delicious ! She sales it on different markets around Tauranga and is by far the best. Her treats are light and smooth, and also look good. She is not the only one to make cupcakes and other treats like that around Tauranga’s Markets but she is by far the best (trust me I have tried ALL of them !) because her treats are never sickening, they are always sold with a big smile and they’re made out of real good and healthy ingredients !
All our guest were very impressed by our Wedding cake - they all keep talking about it even now - it was a painted cake with a raspberry genoise, raspberry mousse and orange liquor.
We originally wanted a raspberry Liquor to go in it but she recommended us an Orange liquor instead and made us try both - her recommendation was correct !
We thought the cake sample was too buttery for us and she listened to it and made it just as we wanted.

Danielle is a real Artiste but is also very Flexible. She knows what she does and enjoy it. She listens to what you want and does it as you want it and can come with great ideas !

I REALLY recommend her to everyone that is interested in getting a Quality Cake for a very good price !!!

Spongedrop were absolutely amazing with answering my brief. I felt cofident using Spongedrop.

My wedding theming were greens, organic natural colours and lots of vintage golds.

I spoke to Danielle and briefed her. I was unsure if anyone could make Vanilla and gold Mac and my god did she impress me
I was so happy with them, she exceeded my expectations with the gold brush on them adding to the plate made me smile!

The cake she made for our wedding day was amazing, it tasted delicious and looked so well crafted I actually didn’t want to cut into it. She delivers if needed, a huge bonus for us as we didn’t have time to pickup. This part of the wedding I can say was totally stress free.
Would highly recommend this talented lady, you will not be disappointed.

Danielle from Spongedrop was just what we were looking for!  We were after a non-traditional wedding cake, more like 3 cakes nestling next to each other with a rustic, homemade feel and thats exactly what we got!  And they were delicious!! 
Danielle understood what we had in mind so this made things easy and the whole process was great!  And I also loved my special gift which was sitting on the bridal table when I sat down - a nice little treat which we ate the next morning (in bed!!).  Thanks Danielle!!

Yummo!  Spongedrop did an absolutely amazing job of our cupcake tower for our wedding.  Planning a wedding from overseas was not easy, but Danielle immediately understood what we were after and we were so pleased with her creation - it looked amazing and tasted even better.  I wish we had had leftovers but everything got demolished. Danielle at Spongedrop was an absolute delight to work with. She made the process of choosing our wedding cake so stress free, I never had to worry. And it was delicious and looked so beautiful!
She also did an amazing job with our dessert buffet, creating macroons, homemade marshmallows & candy for us as well which all of our guests enjoyed.
