From beginning to end Wendy was wonderful.  From our first Skype call to the big day Wendy was there, guiding us through the whole process, making the planning so stress-less which is exactly how we wanted it to be.  After searching through all the possible celebrants Wendy stood out, the reviews proved to be absolutely spot on, one very knowledgeable, kind and helpful lady who made our big day seamless.  The day went without a hitch, and even when our 16 month old niece decided to have her say on the beach, Wendy proceeded with professionalism, humour and ease.  Thank you for everything Wendy,

Wendy was exactly what we wanted in our celebrant. Warm, friendly, inviting, and a great sense of humour. Ben and I first spoke to a Wendy via Skype from Australia and instantly made a connection. Throughout the marriage application process, Wendy was SO helpful and made it all so easy.
We met up with Wendy before the wedding and shared some laughs and I felt so at ease.

After meeting Wendy for the first time, we walked away thinking we found a Celebrant that knew exactly what we wanted in our ceremony and we could feel relaxed with her. Wendy helped us through the format of the ceremony and our vows. She was open about having family involved in the ceremony and made sure everything flowed. Wendy married us on the 11th November 2017 and the ceremony was amazing and had a special touch, the day was so relaxed. Guests commented how lovely they thought the ceremony was, and how personal it was that it told our story. Thank you, Wendy, for helping to make the ceremony what we wanted.

Being honest is simple when you are simply recounting the events as they transpired. After a somewhat brief internet search turned up Wendy Barton we were very pleased with the results. For us, it was the second time around. My wife and I were going for the repeat as my kids couldn’t be there for the first time but they would be there for the second. Initially, we Skyped with Wendy who was very relaxed and extremely knowledgeable, especially as we had no clue what we wanted. Then she set about conceptualising the whole event for us, from wo to go. The day itself was exceptional as Wendy provided her own property as the venue; then her words captured the spirit of what we were trying to achieve. Wendy made the whole experience worthwhile, as it was for the kids and not us. In the end, the kids loved the day, as did we. Top marks to Wendy, if there is any doubt over who is your celebrant, look no further than the exceptional Wendy!

Wendy made the entire process a breeze! She has a bubbly yet professional persona, making us feel very comfortable from the beginning. Everything was well organised in advance and with us being abroad eliminated any last minute stress. Everything was well thought out and very personalised, Wendy was always available and quick to respond to all of our emails. She created a warm, emotional and uplifting ceremony. We had nothing but compliments from all of our friends and family, everybody felt it was very much us! We highly recommend her for your big day.

From start to finish, Wendy was an absolute pleasure to work with. Wendy made planning our wedding ceremony from abroad an absolute breeze. Going into our first Skype call we had no idea where to start, but after our call we knew straightaway we had found an excellent celebrant. Wendy is an incredibly talented writer. She listened carefully and observed us as a couple in our meetings, and was subsequently able to tell the ‘Angus and Klaire’ story perfectly. She is articulate, funny and extremely professional. We want to say a big thank you to Wendy for helping us along on our journey to marriage and for creating a ceremony that was so personal and representative of “us”.

We got married on the beach at Pukehina, It was a perfect day. Wendy’s personality fitted in quite well with our family’s. She sure does offer UNIQUE, INNOVATIVE, totally PERSONALIZED, ceremonies, designed with sensitivity, warmth, professionalism . . . and fun.
Wendy was very easy to deal with and is so organised. As i had only just had a baby when i was first planning our wedding, i wasn’t the most organised. Wendy sent info and forms that needed to be signed step by step. She was a life saver.
I loved how Wendy printed out our voles out and made a little booklet for us afterwards with a picture of me and Andrews favourite image.

Wendy was so easy to deal with, right from the first phone conversation I had with her through until our wedding day.

She was bubbly, fun and professional and had a lot of great ideas and suggestions for our big day. I knew we were in good hands right from the start and although we didn’t get to meet Wendy until the day before our wedding, she definitely put us at ease leading up to it.

From the moment I read Wendy’s profile on her website, I knew she was the celebrant we needed to make our wedding day special.  This was confirmed as soon as she walked in our front door for our first meeting.

When she first sent us a questionnaire, I thought “why does she need all this information”, but believe me, she turned all our rantings into the most beautiful ceremony ever.  She completely got who we were, both individually and as a couple.  She made guests cry with her words, (and of course the bride and groom had a tear as well).

I have had so many guests comment on how wonderful Wendy was, and would have no hesitation in recommending her for your special day.

Organising a wedding from Perth had it’s challenges, but from the moment we met Wendy via skype we knew this part of the planning would not be a problem.

Wendy made all the planning easy and was very flexible and had a great depth of knowledge.

Wendy was such much fun to work with and a great joy to have as part of our day.  Our wedding was everything we wished for and Wendy definitely helped make that happen.

Wendy is a lovely lady with bucket loads of enthusiasm.  She was always available when needed, and replied promptly to text/email messages.  Wendy is a wealth of information when it comes to planning the big day, guiding us through the process and legal requirements.  She is an attentive listener, taking on board our needs & requests, and was able to offer ideas/suggestions as to what would enhance and allow the ceremony to flow well.

We really appreciated how organised Wendy was with her timeline of things to achieve leading up to the day. She guided us through the legal components and genuinely cared about making our ceremony personalised not ‘control copied’. It was also extremely important we had someone 100% supportive of us marrying and Wendy was that times a million and couldn’t have made us feel more comfortable with her when talking about our feelings. 

Our whole day was fantastic! The ceremony was exactly as we wanted it; relaxed and informal and everybody commented on how they really liked Wendy as our celebrant. Wendy’s enthusiasm really showed and helped bring the ceremony to life!

Wendy what can we say, you were an absolute pleasure to deal with you went above and beyond to communicate with us overseas to make sure everything was perfect for our return home to NZ for our big day. It’s been a week now since our big day and we wanted to thank you so much for everything you did for us. The day ran so smoothly and many of our guests commented about how calm you were around the whole last-minute rain issue. We also had lots of comments about the ceremony and how personal it was and how you put everyone at ease - thank you so much!

For us, you made our dream of a romantic, fun but meaningful ceremony a reality, we enjoyed every moment and can’t thank you enough!

Wendy was very professional, very helpful in planning our ceremony. She took the time to listen, and was very easy to approach. I liked how Wendy stood to the side during ceremony, then stood with bride and groom for the important vowels.
Wendy is so efficient, she was able to run a funeral service within 24 hours notice.
Will definitely be calling on Wendy if needed in the future.

We recently go married an had Wendy as our marriage celebrant. She was amazing handled everything with ease. Sealed the deal with vowels rings an abit of blood. Wendy carried on like it was a normal thing for the bride to make the groom bleed putting on his wedding ring. Our wedding day was everything thing we hoped it would be an Wendy made it that even more special by taking the time to get to know us an included that in our ceremony. We were married by Wendy just this past week (7/4/17).

We were specifically after a low-key, relaxed ceremony with little fuss in nice outdoor setting and Wendy came through for us ten-fold.
The ceremony was tailored to our personalities with aspects of our lives intertwined with our vows which made for a very special day.  Wendy arranged for our ceremony to be held in her own home, and the setting of her amazing garden was perfect for us.  Wendy took care of every aspect, from the witnesses (who were lovely!), right down to the chilled champagne to complete an amazing experience.  We couldn’t have been any happier, and might have to renew our vows at some point so we can use Wendy’s services again!  Highly recommended!

Wendy was so amazing in everything that she did for us and we will always cherish our day with so much thanks to her. We are from tauranga but living in brisbane so was worried about how it would all work. Wendy made it all so easy and was there every step of the way. She made our boring words into a masterpiece that had so many guests in tears(good tears) and laughter throughout the whole ceremony.
