The grounds are beautiful.
Price we paid for the 3 hours not including rehersal time was worth every buck.
Ease of access to the venue was perfect both on the day and during our rehersals.
Facilitator Diane guided us through the whole process and made suggestions and recommendations that helped make our day perfect.
Ample parking for guests.
Church and gear for the ceremony was easy to use.
Everything was perfect!

To describe our Wedding Day in one word would be “Perfect”  from the preparation to the rehearsals and the simply beautiful aesthetic of the gardens everything was seamless. If you ever have the privilege of dealing with Diane when you are organising your wedding you will be very happy with her flexible approach and advice .

We got married at St Leonards on 30 August 2014. It was MAGICAL.. The whole area are well maintain, Diane was awesome…. She made us feel so special and together with her professionalism, it’s just simply PERFECT… The chapel is awesome. It is exactly how we pictured in our mind. Definitely recommend The Wilson Home, St Leonards Chapel to all my friends and family as a wedding venue, to top it off, the fees are very reasonable and it is used to support The Wilson Centre.. What an awesome cause…

Fantastic! Silvanya and I are so so pleased we chose St Leonards as our ceremony venue - a beautiful building, amazing grounds, perfect location, plus lovely and on-to-it staff.

Everything ran very smoothly in the lead up and on the big day itself, with excellent communication from Dianne and the team. It was nice to be able to view the property and do a brief dress-rehersal one evening.

We have just received our first preview set of the professional photos and the chapel and the grounds look amazing. The impressive yet natural-feeling architecture of the inside of the chapel really comes across great in the photos.

We found the cost very reasonable given the value of having such a great building and the ability to use the gardens for photos afterwards. More importantly it was nice to know that the money was going to a very worthwhile cause in The Wilson Home Trust.

Silvanya and I absolutely recommend this venue for your wedding, and also note that it works in very well with an equally impressive reception venue at McHughes of Cheltenham.

My Husband and I had our ceremony at St Leonards in April 2013.

Not only are the grounds immaculate and the Chapel beautiful I felt so well looked after by Dianne and the staff, not just another couple getting married but a unique ceremony that required individual attention.

I was so pleased to find out that the fees went to the Wilson Home Trust, it really was just the cherry on top to make my whole experience at St Leonards wonderful.

St Leonards proved to be an excellent venue for our daughters wedding.  The grounds were beautiful and were well maintained - there were many different areas for creative photography.  The chapel was delightful - just lovely with lots of glass windows framing the trees outside.  From the initial viewing to booking and then the big day, Diane was outstanding - fully available, efficient and accommodating.  We really loved that the money spent hiring this stunning venue was then used to support the Wilson Centre itself.  .

We absolutely loved The Wilson Home as our wedding venue. We wanted a garden wedding and absolutely felt in love with the beautiful garden there. We also wanted a venue where we have a back up plan in case of rain and the Chapel provided the perfect plan B.

Diane was a great as she made us feel so at ease and was always available (phone or email) to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend The Wilson Home as a wedding venue to all my friends.

This was the venue for our daughter’s wedding and we were totally happy with everything. It was a perfect day and we can’t rate them highly enough thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

We had such a magical wedding day here and absolutely cannot rate it highly enough. As soon as we got in touch with Diane she was an incredible help, going out of her way to run through all the details of the day and ensure everything you could possibly need is there.

Diane’s flexibility and advice was invaluable - she recommended us a great sound guy, helped us arrange a rehearsal for the night before, and we were able to set up the venue in the morning so there were no last minute panics. Plus having her there on the day was fabulous - while I didn’t get a chance to say hello, seeing a familiar (and calm!) face before heading down the aisle was great.

We fell in love with the gardens as soon as we stepped foot in them - they’re beautifully kept and definitely a bit of a hidden treasure! Having the chapel on site was fabulous - while we chose (and were able to) get married in the gardens, we would not have been disappointed had we needed to use it as our wet weather option. The glass sides and high ceilings give it a wonderful, open feel - it’s almost like being in the garden anyway!

The hirage fee is so reasonable, especially for such a beautiful venue. Plus all the proceeds go straight to Wilson Home, which adds a lovely feel-good factor to deciding on your venue! We were thrilled to be able to support such a wonderful cause on our wedding day, and introduce our guests not only to the beautiful venue but the cause behind it.

So many of our guests commented on what a gorgeous venue it was and how they hadn’t realised somewhere so beautiful was tucked away off Lake Road!

This place will always remain very special for us and we cannot wait to come back.

St Leonard’s was an amazing location for our wedding. Diane was so helpful, and had some great suggestions for where to take photos.

St Leonards turned out to be the perfect venue for our ceremony. It was a beautiful day and we had it in the private garden with all the flowers blooming. We would certainly recommend it to others looking for a location for their ceremony. There are really nice photo spots within the garden and also around the area (e.g. beach and north head). We loved our wedding at the Wilson Home and St Leonards Chapel.  It’s fantastic having the option of outdoor and indoor spaces at the same venue, which takes some stress out of the equation if you want the gardens and it rains on the day you can move very easily.
We chose to do indoor, but had champagne and canapes in the gardens afterwards which worked really well. I’ve also attended a wedding that was in the gardens which was lovely too.
The process of booking and organising was very smooth with help and advice from Diane at Wilson Home, and we were able to add our own decorations and flavour in the chapel.
And lastly the Wilson Home Trust is a fantastic organisation to support.

The chapel itself was very quaint and intimate which is exactly what we were looking for, for our wedding. There was a lot of windows so the lighting was really good. We had our wedding during winter but they have heated floors so it was still comfortable for everyone during the ceremony.

The rental of the place also includes free use of the hall so that the guests can have some afternoon tea while we have photos taken in the garden. The gardens come out really beautiful in the photos and there’s a lot of areas there where you can have your photos taken.

Added bonus was all proceeds of the rental of the venue will go to the Children’s hospital so it was like you just donated to them and got the venue for free.

Diane was very helpful with everything and you can even have a rehearsal the day before if you want one.

Beautiful Chapel, Beautiful Gardens and received awesome assistance from Diane.

This was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding. We couldn’t ask for more.

We were so happy we chose St Leonards chapel and gardens as our wedding venue. The gardens are a truly tranquil and a beautiful setting for a ceremony and provided us with so many options for photography on the day. The gardens are very well maintained.

We loved that we were able to have the option of the chapel in case of rain for the day too. Diane was so friendly and helpful and made the whole process so easy. As mentioned by others it was fantastic for us to know our fee was going towards the Wilson home trust.

We were absolutely delighted with our choice of the Wilson Home as our wedding ceremony venue. The established and well-maintained gardens are simply beautiful, providing a romantic backdrop for a suburban Auckland wedding as well as several options for amazing photos. Several guests commented on just how breathtaking the gardens looked. It was great to know that the Chapel was available if we needed it (happily it never looked like raining) and the staff were always more than happy to help with our queries throughout the entire wedding planning process. Best of all, we were pleased that our choice of venue helped support a very worthy cause in our community. Win, win, win!

St Leonards Chapel and Gardens was stunning! Right from the extensive gardens to the beautiful chapel it is all breath taking. We had a very special day there and one we will always remember and hold close to our hearts. Diane was wonderful and made it all very easy to organise, our big day went without a hitch. We also loved that they are non profit and that the cost to hire this venue (which was very reasonable) went to the kids. Really it was a win win. We had the most wonderful wedding at the Wilson Home gardens. The gardens looked stunning and ticked all our boxes - a contained outdoor area, shade and lots of beautiful photo opportunities (as well as the option of the chapel if it rained). We served our wedding cake and a glass of bubbles in the gardens after the ceremony. Diane was fantastic to deal with and it was very reassuring to know there was a coordinator there on the day to help with any last minute questions. Nothing was a problem and we were also able to store some of our gear in the chapel foyer the night before the ceremony which made things so much easier to set up on the day. An absolutely fantastic wedding venue!

The Wilson Home Trust was such a fantastic setting for our recent wedding ceremony.  We chose the venue as they had both outdoor and indoor options, both of which we would have been happy to use.  We ended up with beautiful weather on the day and the gardens were just perfect for the ceremony and then photos.  Diane, our contact there, was a huge help and professional in every aspect.  My husband and I would I would highly reccomend this venue for a wedding ceremony.

The Wilson Home Trust was the perfect wedding venue for us. Beautiful gardens where we were able to have an outdoor ceremony which we had really hoped for! It was lovely to know that we could move into the chapel right beside the gardens, if the weather turned bad!
