Help for brides & grooms
- Do I need to sign up for a free account?
- Most of WeddingWise can be seen and used by anyone with or without an account. Some features like comment, reviews, favourites, and posting to the Lookbook require you to be signed in with a WeddingWise account. Creating an account only takes 30 seconds, and you can even sign in with Facebook.
- How do I edit my account (sign in) details?
- Once signed in, find the Edit Account link under your profile menu in the top-right corner of the page. From this page you can edit your email address, password, and membership type.
- How do I edit my public profile
- Once signed in, find the Edit Profile link under your profile menu in the top-right corner of the page. From this page you can manage your public profile information, profile photo, as well as your facebook connection and newsletter subscription options.
- Why connect my facebook account to WeddingWise?
- Connecting your Facebook account to your WeddingWise account allows you to sign in to WeddingWise directly with your Facebook account, and to share reviews you write on WeddingWise to your Facebook profile. If your first sign in was with Facebook, your Facebook account will be automatically connected to your WeddingWise account. If you created an account with your email address and password rather than using Facebook, you have the option of connecting your Facebook account on your Edit Profile page.
- Is my information private?
- The information on your profile page is visible to the public. This may include your name, profile photo, location, website link, Facebook link, Pinterest link, and bio text, depending on how much information you choose to provide. Only your true name is required. All other information you submit to WeddingWise, including your email address and password, remain private and are never shared with anyone. If you send an email enquiry to any vendor in the directory, all information you send through that form - including your contact details - will be shared with the vendor you are enquiring to. For any other privacy concerns please see our Terms & Privacy page.
- How do I search the WeddingWise directory?
- Our wedding directory includes thousands of wedding vendors from all over New Zealand and beyond. Searching the directory is easy - there is a search bar at the top of every directory page. Simply select the type of vendor you're looking for, your preferred location, any optional keywords, and click Search. If you have trouble finding enough vendors try choosing a less specific location or keywords.
- How are directory listings ordered?
- Directory listings are ordered in the following sequence: Platinum Members, Premium Members (ordered by VIP and average rating), free listings (ordered by VIP and average rating), unrated free listings (ordered alphabetically). If you have a directory listing and you'd like to improve its positioning in WeddingWise searches, please see our VIP info and advertising (upgrade) options.
- How do I contact a vendor in the directory?
- The easiest way to contact any vendor in the directory is to click the Email enquiry link in the directory listing's contact details. This will bring up an email form where you can enter your message and then send directly to the vendor (you’ll receive a copy as well). You can also contact the vendor directly through any other means of contact provided on the listing (phone, mobile, website).
- How do I add or remove a vendor to my favourites?
- If you're signed in, you can add any directory listing to your favourite vendors by clicking the pink Favourite button on the listing page. Once added to your favourites, the button will say Saved. Your favourite vendors can be accessed at any time from your profile menu on the top right corner of the page. To remove a listing from your favourites, click the pink Saved button again.
- Who’s allowed to submit reviews?
- Brides, grooms, bridal party members, family, and wedding guests are encouraged to write reviews for all wedding vendors they have first-hand experience dealing with. We also allow reviews from other wedding vendors who attended or worked at the same wedding, so long as they have direct first-hand experience with the vendor being reviewed. All reviews must be submitted by the reviewer himself/herself, using his/her own WeddingWise account and his/her real name. Wedding vendors may not submit reviews on behalf of their clients, or copy & paste testimonials they’ve received from other sources.
- How do I submit a rating & review for a vendor?
- Once signed in, find the directory listing page for the wedding vendor you want to review. Click the Write Review button or scroll to the bottom of the page to find the review form. When submitting a review please make sure to supply all necessary information (every field is required), be thorough and honest with your review, and don’t forget to choose a rating for each of the four rating criteria.
- Why hasn’t my review shown up yet?
- All reviews submitted to WeddingWise are moderated by our editors before they are published, to ensure they comply with our terms and policies. Most reviews are published within 24-48 hours. If your review is incomplete we may contact you for more information before we publish your review. Please see our Rating and review policies.
- Can I edit my reviews?
- Only by special request. We encourage users to read over their reviews and ratings carefully before submitting them. If you later find an error in what you've written, or you've gained more experience with the vendor that changes your opinion of their service, you may contact us with an explanation of the situation and if required we can edit your review.
- How do ratings work?
- Each time a wedding vendor in our directory receives a review, they are rated on a scale of 1-5. The average rating and number of ratings for each directory listing helps determine their position in WeddingWise search results, their VIP status, and whether or not they are eligible to receive a WeddingWise Top Rated Award.

In some cases you will receive an email with an explanation for rejected images.
