I was lucky enough to meet Amber four years ago when we were both pregnant and in the same ante natal group. Amber did my make-up for our first family photos and managed to make a sleep deprived and exhausted new Mum feel and look a million bucks. It was a no-brainier that when my wedding plans started turning into a reality that I would ask Amber to please weave her magic again on this bride-to-be. Amber is literally an artist. She takes a blank canvas and creates a masterpiece. I’m a few months off 40, so not the youngest bride, but I literally felt young, beautiful and so happy after she was finished with me. I wanted to look and feel glamorous, but not feel over the top, so a hard brief you could say. Amber listens, offers advice, is honest and so skilled. She worked with me to create a look I was 100 % happy with and I felt so relaxed in her presence. To me she is the best at taking what you have, extenuating the positives and making sure you shine and naturally look the best you can. I loved my make up and it was great to be in such experienced hands on such an important day. Thank you Amber xxx

I was delighted that Amber was free to do my bridal makeup in January - she had done the makeup for my sister’s wedding several years before and she had done a fabulous job. Once again, her professionalism and experience were outstanding, and the whole process was easy. After simply showing a few photos to Amber, she understood what I was after and after my trial, I felt very relaxed and very confident in her talent!  On the day itself, my bridesmaids and I looked like better and more glamorous versions of ourselves and I was thrilled with the result. And I’m still using the makeup she recommended, on a daily basis! Thanks Amber, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to the most perfectionist bride!

Amber was a fantastic make up artist for my wedding. Communication prior to the wedding was easy. She is extremely professional and well organised, and was a calming influence throughout the day. She’s fun and easy to chat to and her work was outstanding. I absolutely loved my make up and the other six women who had their make up done that day were all extremely happy. She used great products which lasted well throughout the day/night. Couldn’t be happier with Amber. Would definitely recommend!

I can not recommend Amber high enough.  Amber was such a professional and she fit in like one of the girls which was really important to me.  She did my 3 bridesmaids, my mum, my nan and me!  Everyone looked and felt amazing and I felt so incredible. The make up photographer so well.  Amber arrived on the morning of the wedding 8 months pregnant looking so glamorous - my girls knew straight away they were in safe hands.

I also had a trial with Amber before the wedding and felt really comfortable straight away - felt like I was catching up with a friend. 

I will be looking for any excuse to use her again in the future.

Amber was such a lovely person to work with - she is great company as well as being an amazing makeup artist, and I enjoyed every minute of my experience with her.  She was always available if I had any questions and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the end result.  I loved my makeup for my wedding day, and my bridesmaids looked incredible too - Amber is a fab chick who totally ‘gets it’ and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look their absolute best.

Amber is a truly incredible make up artist and her hair dresser is just as amazing!!!! I had asked for natural but flawless makeup and the hair styles I gave her is exactly what we got!! Everything was done timely therefore the whole build up was stress free and perfect!! You couldn’t go wrong with Amber you will get exactly what you want and enjoy your wedding day 100%.
Only slight disappointment was being charged full price for a 5 min touch up on my Nana when she didn’t get full make up.

Choosing a good makeup artist was very important to me, as I’m a complete perfectionist! I’m so glad I chose Amber, she did such a good job on the whole bridal party. The makeup lasted all night and looked glamorous and polished without being

Amber, and her co-stylist Shontelle, were consummate professionals throughout my wedding experience. They are impeccable communicators, and my trial (two months prior to the wedding) left me confident and reassured about the day itself. Emails were responded to warmly and efficiently, and they were always open to questions, feedback and new ideas.

They carefully recorded process and preferences, based on photographs and Pinterest-boards, and provided detailed instructions about beauty prep and product requirements. They accommodated changes-of-plan and requests for tweaks and modifications. 

On the day itself, they arrived promptly and were bubbly and vivacious throughout the prep process: they fitted in perfectly with the happy hubbub of bridal prep and the celebratory feel. They worked flexibly with sensitive skin, differing complexions, and various hair lengths and textures. All the little details were attended to, right down to the loan of products and the mounting of veil. They kept to time perfectly, and the morning was a happy and stress-free process for all concerned.

My makeup lasted perfectly, and the eyes were particularly well-executed. The look was highly conductive to photos, and I’ve been totally thrilled with the results. The bridesmaids were similarly-pleased.

I’d recommend Amber unfetteredly: a deeply talented professional, and also a warm, fun, generous person to have on board throughout. Trusted implicitly, and recommended without hesitation!

After being a bridesmaid for my sister Sarah and having Amber and Shontal Healey do the hair and makeup for her wedding, it was an easy decision when I was picking who I would ask to do it for my wedding. With six bridesmaids we were a big party, but Amber and Shontal were so professional, and Amber brought along a second make up artist, which helped get through us all in time. I had a trial a few months earlier, with both Amber and Shontal, and both were so supportive and enthusiastic when it came to deciding what would work best for myself and my bridesmaids. Both had lots of suggestions and advice, and I felt like I was in very capable hands. On the day of the wedding they worked efficiently and were also so friendly and fun, it really helped us all to relax and enjoy ourselves. Amber lent me some makeup for touch-ups during the day, and we were off. I couldn’t recommend them both enough, they truly helped so much in making it a special day where we all felt beautiful.

Amber was a dream to work with.

From our initial point of contact she was prompt in responding and made herself available for a trial as soon as possible. I felt very confident that she knew exactly the look I was after as she asked me to bring references along to the trial. Being someone who doesn’t usually wear a lot of make up she was able to guide me down the right path and recommend lip colours and looks that would work best with my dress and the overall style of the wedding. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome, and neither could the bridesmaids.

I would highly recommend her to anyone and really hope to work with her again!

I cannot rate Amber highly enough. In fact we flew her all the way down to Queenstown for our special day as there was no one else I would have trusted!
She was fabulous in terms of communication and trials, happy to work around my schedule and taking the time to make sure I was happy. I had a very vague idea of what I wanted, and no idea about what to do for bridesmaids makeup, however trusted her completely and she didn’t let us down. She finished ahead of time and was more than happy to stick around for finishing touches (even with a last minute change of venue!)
The girls looked fabulous on the day and our photos could not be better. Thanks again xx

Forgot to apply lashes on my wedding day but had applied during trial - as the bride it’s impossible to remember everything and trusted the artist to remember this. Bridesmaids told me eye shadow on one eye was darker than the other after 4 hours of application…
Overall - results were average (not bad but not great either) and left me feeling it was poor VFM.
Curls in hair came out 2 hours post prep - although there were some factors which contributed to this but overall the curls came out rapidly. I had a trial but changed my hairstyle and didn’t trial again due to time/distance constraints - would recommend trial for any changes in hair style. My change in hairstyle was communicated months in advance however, there was a breakdown in comms between make up artist and stylist and on the wedding day - I found out that the hair stylist had no clue. Quite a nasty surprise.

We have been working with Amber for years, and have found her nothing short of amazing!
She is extremely talented, but also has the fantastic ability to keep to time, and have our brides looking amazing and ready to get into their gowns on time - an essential when getting ready for your big day.
I met her when she did the make up for my own wedding, and also did Delwyns’ wedding make up a few years later, so we are big fans on a personal level as well.

I came across Amber’s work in M2 magazine and took notice as I started searching for a hair and makeup artist early 2013 for my wedding in 2014. Her work on her website looked stunning and reviews on ‘wedding wise’ led me to booking her for my wedding on the 29th of March 2014.

Amber works with Shontal Healy who’s an amazing hair stylist with great talent. My trial didn’t quite go to plan however, both Amber and Shontal ran a 2nd trial to perfect the 2 looks I was going for on the day as I had 2 ceremonies.

They were absolute professionals on the day, arrived on time, delivered all looks better than the trials and added to the fun of it all while keeping me calm. Shontal had a longer day than Amber as Shontal had to do my hair 3 times on the day as I changed throughout the day between ceremonies and she was an absolute professional, not only did she arrive at the Langham at 5.30am but kept going until 4.30pm delivering all looks perfectly and was so helpful during the entire day, not just with hair but other things in general.

Both of them are absolute professionals & perfectionists, the only downfall is they get fully booked very early on. They also do hair and makeup for other events, and both of them are my go to for any event now.

I came across Amber when I asked both our photographer and our wedding planner who they would recommend for hair and make up. They both recommended Amber! I can’t recommend her enough. Working together with Shontal Healey, who did our hair, Amber did the make up for me, my mum and my five bridesmaids. She did an amazing job and got us ready well ahead of time. We were all thrilled with the results and the photos have come out beautifully. We all really enjoyed the experience and one of my bridesmaids has already booked Amber and Shontal for her own wedding.

Amber was recommended to me by several friends to do our wedding make up and I was definitely not disappointed.  I don’t wear a lot of make up and it was important to me that I still looked like myself.  Amber did a fantastic job and gave great advice on not only our bridal make up but also skin care.  I would thoroughly recommend doing a trial run with Amber prior to your wedding day - it may seem like an unnecessary expense but it was absolutely worth it to know we were in good hands on the day and to get advice on lipstick colours etc.  It was a pleasure to have Amber with us for the morning prior to the wedding.  She was professional and had us all looking stunning right on time.  Would definitely recommend

I cannot speak more highly of Amber and Shontal. They are an absolute DELIGHT to work with. Amber just knows what will make you look magical, she has the magic touch! She also makes you feel so excited about your day and talks in depth about all wedding elements to ensure your hair and make up will complete the “look” of the wedding.

she is a true professional, her skills are second to none. I have never looked better in my life and I have Amber and Shontal to thank.

Amber and Shontal also did an excellent job with my mom and bridesmaids (x 4) they looked stunning, and they were SO happy with their looks. Definite head turners.

Amber did a stunning job on the make-up for my mother, bridesmaids and myself.  They all looked absolutely gorgeous & everyone commented on how fabulous the make-up was.
