Catherine Cattanach is an amazing photographer and produces breathtaking images of even the most non-photogenic subjects (eg. my partner and I).
Catherine captured all the key moments you want captured on your wedding day, but she also captured the small details and candid moments that you often miss during the whirlwind of getting married. Being able to look back over all of these photos is a treasure and allows us to relive and experience our wedding day in a whole new way. All of our guests were extremely impressed with the way Catherine was able to capture the day without being intrusive, allowing them to relax and enjoy the wedding.
I would highly recommend Catherine to everyone. She works extremely hard and produces high quality work. She is very good at returning emails and working with you to get the best out of the day.
Lastly, she is a lovely person and her passion for photography makes the process that much more enjoyable.

We chose Catherine as our wedding photographer after seeing other wedding photos on her website - they were very natural and not staged and captured the emotion so beautifully. She has such an artistic eye, she captures the obvious and the unobvious. Once we met Catherine we knew we’d chosen a goodie, she was professional, genuine, and very quickly understood what we were looking for and played this back to us in a way that got us excited about how she’d capture our wedding day. On the day she was great to work with, as others have said, unobtrusive and very much about making the whole experience about us and our guests and capturing lots of love, fun and laughter. Having just seen our photos I am so pleased we chose Catherine. She captured our day so beautifully and left us with images and memories that will leave smiles on our faces for years to come. I simply adore our photos, she’s given us a real gift.

We have no hesitation in recommending Catherine.  She was a pleasure to have around on the day - relaxed and unobtrusive but somehow still managed to get hundreds of fantastic shots.  Our favorites are the candid shots of all our guests which are such a great momento and bring back happy memories.  Her level of service did not finish after the wedding, with her providing a really special and thoughtful slide show and a lot of help in putting together an album.

After lots and lots of research we chose Catherine as our wedding photographer, as I loved her documentary style of photography rather than staged wedding photos. Her photos truly captured the day, when I look back at them, I can easily relive all of the emotion and excitement that the day brought. Not only did she capture us but what I loved was all of the shots of our wedding guests, who really made our day as special as it could be. Catherine was super easy to deal, and made us feel relaxed Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Catherine made our day perfect. Even though it was a while back now, her photos of our big day still bring tears of happiness to my eyes. Catherine is thorough, professional…..but most all, unobtrusive. If you ask though, she is GREAT for direction! She made our day feel personal to her, not just another wedding that she was shooting. Catherine did such an amazing job of capturing not only the big but small special moments of our day in a way that was unobtrusive (great if you are not naturally a ‘photo’ person!).  I would recommend Catherine to anyone looking for a professional photographer and high quality shots.  Id have not hesitation having Catherine for the photographer if I were to get married all over again (luckily not on the cards any time soon!!! :D).

We would highly recommend Catherine Cattanach as a wedding photographer. We chose her after seeing some amazing wedding photos on her website and were then blown away by the amazing photos she captured of us on our wedding day! She has a lovely warm personality and provides a very professional, prompt and reliable service - within a few days we had already had a few sneak peeks. We received CDs with hundreds of photos on them, making it almost impossible for us to choose which to put in our album, however she helped us out there too, making up a beautiful draft album for us to edit as we pleased. Both my husband and I are very awkward around cameras, however Catherine was able to get awesome natural shots of us along with all the formal shots that we requested. She did not order us around at all, however we still ended up with all the photos we wanted and more! We absolutely love our wedding DVD, album and photo CDs.

Highly recommended. Catherine is an exceptional wedding photographer. From the planning stages, to the wedding day itself and the follow up, she was very professional and easy to deal with. She was hardly noticeable on the day, capturing all those special moments - until it was time where direction was needed and she wasn’t afraid to speak up!  She covered all the details including lovely candid photos of our guests.  Our album was expertly put together and will be a wonderful reminder of the day. Catherine was AMAZING! I chose Catherine based on the photos on her website - I loved the way she seemed to capture intimate and funny moments beautifully. We had a couple of meetings beforehand. When it came to the big day Catherine was both incredibly professional and really relaxed. She made everyone feel at ease, and had great ideas for settings for shots.  When our photos came back, I was so overwhelmed at how beautiful they were I burst into tears! There are so many intimate shots that she managed to capture, but we never felt as though she was in our space. In hindsight, we are so glad that Catherine was our photographer - the day sped by so quickly I realise now how important it was having Catherine there to document all the details.

The most ‘painful’ part of the whole process was deciding which photos to keep for the wedding album! It was so hard trying to pick out a mere 85 from the 700+ exceptional photos

However, mum found a solution- she got a digital frame so that she can see all 700+! :D

Catherine was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day. She managed to save the day (and my sanity!) when the beautiful long grass on Mount Victoria had been mowed the morning of the wedding, and I thought my plans for gorgeous romantic shots had been ruined. Thankfully Catherine was thoughtful enough to check the location that morning and whip up a plan B for us (top of the Massey Memorial) which turned out to be even better! Catherine kept me calm all day, and she was completely unobtrusive - I hardly knew she was there! She captured so many great candid shots, and the photos turned out even better than we could have ever imagined. So many people have commented on how wonderful our wedding photos are, and that they look like they’re from a magazine. I can’t thank Catherine enough for the superb way she captured our special day.

We were so pleased to have chosen Catherine to photograph our wedding, her beautiful photographs on her website demonstrated a clear talent, which drew me to her initially.  We found that working with her was such a fun experience.  She rolled with the punches of a rainy wedding day and the boys were relaxed and had so much fun in the photo shoot, which I didn’t expect - no awkward boy poses here!  She captured so many beautiful candid moments of our family that we will treasure for a long time.  She came to the wedding rehearsal to scope out the site, went exploring and found a gorgeous little alleyway of trees on the farm that I didn’t even know was there, and we’ve got some absolutely stunning shots of us soaking in the joy and the moment of our wedding day.  It was a pleasure to work with Catherine, and I’ll be looking her up again one day when this couple becomes a family!

We were recommended Catherine from another photographer who was not available on our date and to be honest I’m glad the initial one was booked! Catherine was a breeze to deal with and super creative. She was relaxed and focused and we were on the same wave-length from the very beginning. If her past works and our engagement photos were anything to go by, we couldn’t wait to see the pictures of the big day whereby I don’t even remember seeing Catherine and her assistant as they flittered round our ceremony and reception snapping perfect pictures to create concrete memories for us of our special day. Sure enough the photos were back pretty soon after they’d been snapped and they were amazing! We couldn’t have been happier and the package that we had chosen was executed without a hitch, was exactly what we wanted and needed and now we have a beautifully set out Queensbury Album, which captured our day perfectly. I would recommend Catherine to anyone getting married not just for the fact that she is an excellent photographer, but also because she is easy to get a long with, her packages are able to be tailored to exactly what you are after, she individually invests in your day (it didn’t feel just like another work day), and takes a lot pride in her work delivering photos to you that are exactly what you asked for! Everyone has commented on the superb quality of the photos Catherine took at our wedding. She was unflappable, able to direct folk where needed but also give us free reign to do our own thing. She flitted seamlessly in the background and yet by the array of shots taken, it seems she managed to be almost everywhere at the same time! She captured so many fleeting precious moments …and captured them simply, creatively and beautifully. Neither of us are particularly photogenic or at ease in front of a camera, so we were both stunned with how natural and beautiful she managed to make us look. On viewing the photos, there were so many perfect shots that choosing a list of favourites was really difficult (The list got too long!) Catherine would, by far and away, be my first choice for a photographer.
