My husband and I were over the moon with the food and service provided by Lindsay and his team at Eight Point Two for our recent wedding reception.

Not only is the space beautiful and well-maintained, it is unique and feels really special. The food was simply amazing and the service was flawless. All of our guests raved about the canapes, the three course meal and the incredibly attentive and friendly staff.

Lindsay made the planning process pretty easy (even though most of it happened across oceans). He was accommodating and he helped us to think about all of the details. We felt like we were in safe hands. On the day we just knew it would all be perfect - and it was

Lindsay made it very easy to plan our wedding, and on the day everything was taken care of…right down to the flowers matching the bride’s dress!
The food was fantastic, the guests (from very young to very old) were well looked after, and we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoy our day.

18 months previously, I had celebrated a “significant birthday” at Eight Point Two, and on that occasion I had been impressed by the venue, the food and Lindsay’s professionalism. We were very confident that our wedding would be equally-well catered for, and we were not disappointed.

We would absolutely recommend Eight Point Two for a wedding, or any other occasion where a high class venue, good food and professional service were required.

We were thrilled with our choice of reception venue.  The owner was extremely helpful and professional and met with us on a number of occassions before the wedding to talk through every detail.  His experience meant that he thought of things we hadn’t even considered.  He was extremely accommodating, nothing was a problem and we got to completely design our own menu and have every detail just the way we wanted (even taking down pictures in the restaurant and hanging our own).  The food was absolutely outstanding, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food.  The restaurant is beautiful and a perfect setting for a wedding.  We loved the tailored service we received and the care that was put into our wedding rather than the stock standard approach of typical wedding venues.  I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful experience at Eight Point Two.  Lindsay was great to deal with leading up to the day.  Atmosphere at the restaurant was just perfect for the occasion.  Service and food was outstanding, Lindsay’s advice on the choices of wines and bubbles was spot on and everything just “happened” without any prompting.  We had 6 children also, they were well catered for (at a very reasonable price) and the retaurant was the perfect size for them to have a bit of space away from the main dining table. 

I think everyone of our guests by now have commented on how outstanding the Food and Venue was. Would definitely recommend Eight Point Two for the whole experience.

After trying to plan hosting our own reception at another venue, it was a great relief to deal with Lindsay. He was very accommodating with our requests, and made sure everything was covered. We had been for dinner previously and knew the food would be great, and on the night it was superb. It was also nice to sample and choose our selection of wines for the night from a great list. Many of our guests commented on the quality of the food (especially the hors d’oeuvres), wine, service and settings. We had close to capcaity with 86 ppl, but it didn’t feel crowded.

We would recommend 8.2 to anyone wanting a great reception in a wonderful location run by professional staff.

Was ideal for us as we wanted place by little shoal bay. Great to have wet weather option at eight point two. Food was amazing and got menu choice of 3 with full service which made everything run smoothly. The host was really helpful fully professional and made our experience fun. Would def reccommend but want to keep it quiet as it made our wedding unique and a special event.
