Gayle was very knowledgeable and had lots of contacts in the wedding industry, this made planning our wedding in 3 months a complete breeze.

Gayle is a dream to work with. She made planning a wedding in Auckland whilst living in Sydney, a breeze!
Gayle is extremely knowledge in the wedding industry, her personalised service, enthusiasm and attention to detail, is second to one.
Our wedding was held at the Auckland Museum Events Centre which is a difficult venue to organise multiple suppliers, timings of pack outs, logistics etc - Gayle did this effortlessly.
Desmond and I cannot thank Gayle enough for her assistance in planning our “dream wedding”, she really does have a way of making you feel that you are her main priority and your day is the most special day ever.

Gayle is an amazing wedding planner! She has been our wedding planner from the start to the very end and has made our lives so much easier.
We have been so lucky to have Gayle’s expertise and wealth of knowledge to assist us with planning and carrying out everything for our wedding day. She is so passionate in what she does and she has every intention of full filling every desire/request you have and does it in great style. She has great contacts and knows where and how to get the very best and within any budget. Even if your budget doesn’t allow a wedding planner, a planner could make the savings and make your life a lot less stressful, so all you have to worry about is writing your speech, which she can even help you with. Gayle is very organised and ensures nothing is left to the last minute. She is always great to talk to and offers suggestions and guidance without making you feel pressured into doing anything.

From the first time we met up with Gayle, we just knew that things were going to turn out well for us. She was so excited to hear our story and her enthusiasm was inspiring. She asked us what we wanted from the whole event, which was to keep it realistic (I was worried costs could sneak out beyond our budget) and that family (lots of them) were the most important things for us and our day. From that moment on, she was on our side and catered the whole event to ensure that all of our family and friends were catered for without any worries for them, and that costs always stayed within our budget. Never at any point did we feel as though we were being pushed into anything that was beyond our means, or anything that we didn’t want to do.
Her wealth of knowledge into everything ‘weddings’ just helped us out so much. For example, having an outside wedding meant that sound could be a bit of an issue. After communicating this with Gayle, we had an instant answer and a system that did exactly what we wanted it to do.
By far the best part from my point of view was the pressure that was taken off on the big day. I wanted to go out for a game of golf before the afternoon service, but didn’t know if it would be possible because of all the last minute things that might have to be done in the morning. I was surprised that there was nothing extra to do in the morning (bar a speech, trust me to leave it to the last minute!), Gayle had the whole lot organised. We got a full and relaxed game in before getting prepped for the big moment.
She was so organised with timelines, suppliers and budgets, and always responded to our queries and requests quickly.
If we were to plan it all again, we would use her services in a heartbeat. We can’t recommend her services highly enough as she is just FANTASTIC!

We rung Gayle to advise we were wanting to get married in Hamilton NZ on 27th November 2004, that was the only information we were settled on.
In that enquiry phone call she had asked us our preferences inside/outside, rural/city, a bunch of questions, then gave an overview of a place that had come to mind - which quite honestly fitted the picture so perfectly.
After a few months of preparation my husband decided he didnt want to get married in NZ but would have liked to get married in Melbourne Australia - Gayle never faltered, her response to this bombshell was, OK lets get working on Melbourne.
Gayle once again asked us a series of questions, and got back to us in a few days to advise what she had come up with, and again perfect she had thought of everything, it was close to the airport so our NZ family and friends were not inconvenienced, had options of accommodation for them with free transfers, as our guests didnt know Melbourne at all, close to shopping centres and beauty parlours.
She organised a photographer from NZ at no extra charge, and flew over a few days before the day to go over some finer points and to escort me places, as our guests hadnt arrived and she didnt see it fit I go alone, what a wonderful feeling that was, a girlfriend to roam around with.
Gayle made us feel so special, she went and visited with my husband to check on final touches for him organised a local barber for the groomsmen, the whole event was wonderfully orchestrated with no effort from us what so ever.
On the day, Gayle was there but not there - she was present when a button couldnt be done up by the bridesmaids, she was in the background when family visited, she went back and forth to myself and to my now husband to check everyone was calm and enjoying our special day, she greeted guests and advised each and every stage to them all - they all loved her, everyone in every speech made mention of Gayle as being outstanding.
We would highly recommend Gayle to plan and execute any wedding, where the bride and groom would like their Wedding day, to be just that “their day” she takes care of it all, does it with ease, humour, and professionalism.

Gayle Garmaz of Exquisit Weddings originally spoke to my husband and I many months before our wedding.
The wedding was held one hour north of Auckland at a privately owned lodge, and because Andre and I work and live in Central Auckland we knew we would need help setting up what was quickly becoming a large wedding. Gayle was a delight to work with from the start and it became fast apparent that her twenty odd years in the trade had provided her with a wealth of knowledge and contacts.
We agreed to bring her on full time with us over a two week period spanning the wedding date to coordinate the event and supervise the pack down after. But what we got from Gayle was so very much more than this. She was constantly in touch both in person and by phone or email in the months leading up to the day and always happy to impart advice, suggest suppliers, and sometimes just be there to quell our pre wedding panics.
We decided three months out that we needed a marquee. It was a rediclously late request leading into peak wedding season but Gayle managed to pull some strings and found us a fabulous marquee and team to install it - I will sing their praises in another review.
Gayle was also enormously helpful with the finer points of our catering. Whilst we hand picked our caterer -also outstanding- I also wanted to handpick all the tablewear etc. Thank goodness Gayle checked over my order and made a few great suggestions to improve it. She was also right there when the order arrived and effortlessly managed the siuation when some of the order was short and some damaged. By the time the guests sat down, everthing was in place.
Her time management of the wedding was impeccable and he assistance with management and payment of less prominent suppliers on the day was perfect. We were not bothered by any of this on the day.
If I were to note every single time Gayle went the extra mile for us it woud take quite some time but I have to mention in particular my eternal thanks to her concerning the VIP Portaloos which turned up without staff or supplies and filthy, Gayle simply rolled up her sleeves and got it sorted.
In short, she was exceptionally professional, filled both Andre and I will confidence in her abilities which shone through to give us a truly stress free and enjoyable wedding day.
Gayle is very open about her fee structure right from the beginning . There were no unexpected costs on her final invoice and she passes on any kick backs from suppliers. Frankly she was worth every dollar and looking back at the event we wonder how on earth we would have managed without her.
Furthermore by the end of it all we had both simply grown to like her. She’s a genuinely kind hearted and clever women. And a joy to have around on your wedding day.
We would happily recommend her services.
