Melanie was an amazing help to us as we planned our wedding. I was first referred to her as a caterer and found her to be supremely fun, smart and creative in helping me plan my somewhat ambitious locally sourced menu. Not only that but she helped me find ways to keep within my budget.
As a wedding planner, she was able to offer all sorts of tips on advice from the DL on where to hire the best chairs and tables for next to nothing, to finding a bartender, to helping me figure out the mathematics of a complicated seating plan in a tight space. Nothing has phased her and she has been very willing to go along with my cockeyed ideas, but still gently nudging me in the right direction.
Melanie went out of her way to help in ways we had never even expected her to. As we were planning our wedding from New York, having someone on the ground with so much experience in all things local in Golden Bay related to weddings was an enormous help.
