Beccy and the team at Mudbrick did an amazing job for our wedding in at the end of October. We had 66 guests in total and the wedding began at 5pm and finished at 1am.

They gave us a lot of assistance throughout the year leading up to our wedding and promptly answered all of our questions. On the day, they helped to ensure the wedding ran smoothly and provided great service to us and our guests.

The setting is really spectacular, with great views over to Auckland and Rangitoto. Having the ceremony on the cellar roof with the lavender in bloom was amazing.

The food was delicious, and brilliantly presented. They took into account all dietary requirements with no hassle. They also brought the dinner timings forward by half an hour for us which was great.

I would highly recommend Mudbrick as an excellent wedding venue.

Karen, Leigh and the wider team that worked on our wedding a couple of weeks ago were just brilliant. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and the hard work and effort that they put in was amazing. We felt so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and a lot of that is thanks to these guys for everything that they did. The attention to detail was just brilliant, to the set out of the ceremony area, the restaurant, even the platters the cake was put on! It really was just magical and we can’t thank the team enough.

Karen put so much preparation into our day. I can only imagine how hard it is juggling so many weddings and getting the details just right, but she did (and we gave her a lot of very specific details!), and for that we are truly grateful. There were only a couple of hiccups before the wedding, one being our initial wedding planner left a couple of weeks before our wedding and we were never notified. The deep sinking feeling when we found out was awful as all those intricate details we had agreed we thought were out the window. But after going back for another meeting with Karen and filling in a couple of the blanks from her predecessor, she had it all under control. The other issue we had was after being given the wine list more than 4 times to select from, we got told (only after we had made our selections the week prior to the wedding) that most of those vintages were not available anymore. Furthermore, they had changed their pricing too! This again was quickly sorted out by Karen and they honored their old price list given we were less than a week out.

With regards to the actual day, Leigh hosted such a well-run evening, he had absolutely everything under control and we didn’t notice one thing we would have done differently. His professionalism and prompt assistance with anything we requested was top notch. He is an absolute asset to the team there.

And the wider team, we were truly grateful for all their hard work on the day, it wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did without them!

Where to start… Mudbrick was incredible. We knew the views and the wines would speak for themselves but the service and food we were given was superb. All of our guests and I mean every single one commented on how beautiful the food was. The waiting staff made our night look easy, going from service to service without any issues, every guest was well looked after. A drink was never empty, no one had to go to the bar, even the toilets were kept immaculate.
The DJ we had (which is the resident DJ for Mudbrick) keep everyone on the dance floor all night. We really couldn’t have hoped for a better night! Good food, Good wine and lots of dancing! 
Right from when the guests arrived to canapés and drinks, through the seating of guests for their meals, cake, tea and coffee we were extremely well looked after.
We are returning for our first wedding anniversary soon - with both sets of parents over from Australia! and we can’t wait! 
If you want a stress free, polished service with beautiful food and wines then look no further. Its worth every penny!

We were totally disappointed with our recent wedding at Mudbrick. We chose the venue based on excellent reviews and it’s stunning location and good food.
Justine the Operations Manager was very disorganized with her communication and three days out from the wedding had still not confirmed our meal choices. We had to chase her for all information regarding the menu, wines etc. Thank goodness we had a wedding planner who was able to constantly try and get in touch.
On the day Justine left the venue during the setting up and did not make contact with our wedding planner.
The entrees took 1 1/4 hours to be served and as we were in the Potager room the patrons in the restaurant were served first. This was confirmed for us on the night by the duty manager. Our guests were left hungry and frustrated.
Also despite our wedding being a formal cocktail event the staff were dressed in the Potager room in t-shirts while in the main restaurant it was white shirts and aprons. The style of our wedding had been clearly communicated to Justine. We were very disappointed in the level of service as after the entrees were served the mains arrived almost immediately.
We would be very hesitant to recommend Mudbrick to anyone planning a wedding as despite the lovely location and food the stress and overall service is badly lacking.

We had a wedding of around 80 people in the main restaurant and it was absolutely stunning. To be honest I thought it was going to be very expensive for very little… however i was very wrong. We had an amazing 3 course meal that people are still raving about. The staff was amazing and very professional. It was amazing to have an inside venue available because it did rain during the ceremony. But to not worry about the rain was a huge relief, especially because the mudbrick staff worked with my future husband and moved the ceremony from outside to inside. It absolutely looked amazing.

We had a small wedding of 27 people at Mudbrick and it was just beyond perfect.
The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. Our ceremony was on top of the potager room and the views over the water and out to the city were spectacular. Many of our guests were spot on with their description of it being “picture perfect”. I can’t wait to see the photos!
The staff were just phenomenal. They were all extremely friendly and everything ran so smoothly, it could not have gone better. We could just completely relax and know everything was well taken care of. The food was also really lovely and the wine is so good we ended up buying several bottles to take home with us!
I think you just can’t go past Mudbrick for a small wedding, I felt that everyone put just as much effort into making our day perfect as they would a wedding with 100+ people. Also, value for money, I don’t think you can go past Mudbrick for a small wedding.

Living in London and marrying a kiwi we made the brave decision to get married in New Zealand. 

Long story short and after a lot of drama with another venue on Waiheke Island we landed up at Mudbrick.  I didnt see the venue until the night before my big day.  Mudbrick handled everything for me via email including co-ordinating external suppliers (florist, chair hire etc).  To say it was hassle free would be an understatment.

The big day?  Well put simply ....magical.  We had exclusive use of the venue so our guests could spread out.  The food was exceptional.  The setting beautiful and the whole mood of the day / evening ...pure romance.  As for hubby ....well they did what few manage ...they kept to the original budget.  What more could a bride and groom want?

This location was fantastic. The whole ambiance of the venue was beautiful, with views in amongst the vineyards, flowing down to the coast and Auckland beyond. The staff were great, service top notch, seemingly there when needed and able to handle the occasion with aplomb.

With the uncertain weather, and indeed it did shower during the ceremony, they had the bases covered for both an inside and outside event, with no loss of experience. The catering was tasty, well presented and timely. The wine was just wonderful, and perfectly matched to the food. From start to finish it was great day and evening, and certainly couldn’t have asked for better service or surroundings!

As a guest who went to 3 weddings in 4 months, this venue took the cake.
