I’ve been recommended Nicki as a make up artist for my wedding through chef editor of the wedding magazine Gayle and was very happy with my choice.

Our wedding was in the middle of the summer and despite of hot weather my make up lasted all day long. She uses high quality make up and in her make up suitcase there is something special for any taste

Choosing Nicki as our makeup artist was one of the easiest weddings decisions I made - and it turned out to be one of the very best too. I loved her so much I got her to drive from our hometown of Auckland to the Bay of Islands, where our wedding was held.

Nicki is just AMAZING! She is so sweet, lovely and calm - exactly what a bride, her bridesmaids, her mum and a flowergirl need on the big day! She worked non-stop to make all six of us look our absolute best but was never rushed. My makeup lasted all day and night and the false lashes she applied looked amazing (yet natural) and lasted for another week.

She has a great knack at being able to know exactly what you want - even though you may find it hard to put into words! She was also always super prompt at replying to emails - which as a bride is actually really important when you have a million things going on. She is just professional all round!

I had my hair and make up done by Nicki as part of an Engagement Shoot package that my fiance and I won in a competition alongside Dillon Photography and WHITE wedding video.

Nicki was fantastic, super friendly and really professional.

I wanted to look like myself for the photo and video shoot, so did not want a strong make up and hair look. I don’t wear much make up so emphasized to Nicki that I would like the natural, sun kissed look. She did not disappoint and picked colours to suit my skin tone (olive) and highlighted all my best features. I loved that she listened to exactly what I wanted and really delivered, the hair and make up looked fantastic in the photos. Thanks Nicki for doing an awesome job!

Booking Nicki to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day was one of the best wedding decisions I made. She went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful. My skin is very pale and hard to match to a foundation but she hunted for the perfect shade and found it. She came all the way to Nelson for my wedding and was so calm and professional. I was very nervous that morning, but the butterflies soon disappeared as I saw my look take shape under her hands. She did my mum’s hair and makeup too and Mum couldnt stop talking about how special she felt. Thanks to Nicki, I looked better on my wedding day than I ever could have hoped. Even more than that- she helped me find skin products and foundation for my everyday needs (I have problematic skin) and the problems that she recommended cleared up my skin issues almost overnight.

Attitude to your role in a brides day is as important as skill. Nicki Collet has an abundance of skill and a brilliant attitude. Most importantly she is always on time.

Nicki is in the top four of my seventeen recommended hair/ makeup artists. My top four cannot be separated by preference as they are all amongst the absolute best in the industry.

All of my top 4 will come to the brides house. This is a day you should be treated like a princess and have everyone come to you. Stop jumping in the car to go to your local salon… they probably do very few wedding hair styles anyway. Choose people who specialise in wedding makeup and hair.
