If you’re looking for amazing hair and makeup for your wedding, I would thoroughly recommend Lillybeth and her team. As soon as I saw the magic she and hair stylist Laura created during my trial, I knew I was onto a very good thing. I recommend going into it with only the vaguest of ideas for what you want (like I did, hehe). This gives them the freedom to get really creative, to work with your features and skin tone, and give you something you would never have thought to ask for yourself, but you will LOVE.  The morning of my wedding was so much fun, having our hair and makeup done by Lillybeth and Laura was a laugh a minute, so much fun and a great relaxing start to the day. Oh and our makeup lasted all day - ours was a brunch wedding (ceremony 9.30am) - we looked great all day until we left the venue mid afternoon; mine still looked fantastic even after catching a plane to Auckland for our honeymoon. It lasted well into the evening, we went out for dinner that night and it still looked fresh and lovely. Once again, seriously consider Lillybeth and team for your wedding. They’re not the cheapest out there I’m sure, BUT you get what you pay for, and then some. Xoxo

Lilybeth and her assistant Lisa were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Her emails were always professional, friendly and prompt. On the day my makeup (and that of my bridemsmaids) looked fantastic. We had a trial the day before and she listened to what I wanted (a veey natural look) and I walked down the aisle looking like myself. She also did an incredible job of covering up the patchy sunburn on my back that would have been visible in my dress. I would definitely recommend Lilybeth and her team.

For my daughters wedding I was treated to a make up session with Lillybeth. It was a fantastic experience not least because it ws only the second time Id ever had it done. She made me feel relaxed and whilst the make up was more elaborate than I ever would do myself it looked amazing. My new son in law even said I looked glamorous!!

Lillybeth did an amazing job of my makeup as well as my 3 bridesmaids and mum.  She was very good at communicating and was very professional the whole way through. All of our makeup looked great in person and in the photos.
We were all happy with coverage and how well it lasted. Only thing was that the foundation Lillybeth used didn’t seem to stick on my face and didn’t last very well but she was very happy to just use my own foundation to ensure my makeup lasted the whole day. The foundation Lillybeth uses lasted well on all the other girls though so must have just been my skin!

I booked Lillybeth for my wedding and chose Lisa one of her makeup artists. I was very nervous as I wasn’t really sure on how I wanted my makeup to look for my wedding! but I’m so glad I chose Lisa she was professional and lovely and was happy to change anything I wasn’t really sure about and suggested other ideas. I ended up Changing the look we discussed in the trial before the wedding without having another practice and I also didn’t really have a look for my bridesmaids either and she did a fabulous job she
made me and my bridesmaids look phenomenal! And our false lashes stayed on and looked really good to! Everyone kept saying how beautiful I looked and I looked stunning in all my wedding photos as well!

Having my make-up done was a lovely experience. Lillybeth listened to what I wanted, had great ideas and was just lovely to work with. She did my sister too and she was also very pleased. Overall very professional, extremely competent and just a lovely lady.

Lillybeth was a great makeup artist for my wedding.  She easily got through 5 makeup’s and worked in around my hairdresser.  She was calm, relaxed and prepared.  She cruised along through the morning just like all of us.  I was very happy with my makeup, it lasted until the next morning without wearing off or smudging (I didn’t have makeup remover packed in my hotel bag).  I always have trouble with lipstick staying but Lillybeth’s was great!  I didn’t have to reapply as the stain it left on my lips was just perfect.  I’ve had makeup done by Lillybeth before 2 years prior and it was just as good this time around, if not better.  I would highly recommend Lillybeth and if I get the chance I will be using her again!

I booked my wedding makeup with Lillybeth a year out from my Wedding, due to her being in such hot demand she couldn’t do it herself but we had one of her team Daphne do our makeup.  Daphne is so talented and amazing at what she does, she made all of my bridesmaids and I feel so beautiful.  My mum, who doesn’t wear ANY makeup, called Daphne a magician.  I was so happy that my mum felt comfortable, relaxed and beautiful on my wedding day too.

I contacted Lillybeth regarding booking my bridal and bridesmaids makeup, and received a response within a day! She let me know that she herself wouldn’t be available, but gave me the profiles of her other artists for me to look at and pick from. I chose Lisa and booked her in.
About a month out from our big day I had my trial. Lisa welcomed us into her home and made us feel comfortable. We trialed a look, which on looking at in the mirror I liked. I went away that afternoon and looked at pictures, and decided that in actual fact it was not what i was after, and I immediately sent through my concerns to Lillybeth. She and Lisa both assured me that they completely understood, and noted the changes I wanted and made me feel very listened to.
The day came around so fast, and I was a little bit nervous as wanted everything to be perfect. Lisa did my Mum’s and my 4 bridesmaid’s make up first and left me until last. We discussed the concerns I had with my trial and she went to work and it was SPOT ON!! I LOVED everything about my make up and I felt INCREDIBLE!

Lillybeth was extremely professional leading up to the day and it was a pleasure dealing with her especially since my husband and I live in Melbourne and we were travelling back to my home in Tauranga for our wedding.

On the day, Lillybeth did a great job and was happy to tweak things if any of us girls were not 100% happy with anything. She is friendly and chatty and certainly knows exactly what she is doing.

I did have a trial with her a couple of months before the wedding which I was pleased with and the make-up on the day ended up being even better than the trial which was fantastic. Chrissie is easygoing, patient and really knows her stuff!

Lillybeth is absolutely amazing!
I never wear make up so getting used to seeing myself in it was tough at first but Lillybeth listened to all my little requests and made the whole look for my wedding ceremony and reception perfect! She worked with my olive brown Indian skin tone so well and placed emphasis on my eyes where I wanted it. She gave me the natural look I was going for and I have nothing that I would change. She arrived early on the day which was fantastic considering she had to travel from Tauranga to Lake Matahina, and myself and my bridesmaid felt like a million dollars, the whole day. The makeup she applied lasted until the next day, even through a scorcher of a day, tears and travelling in a convertible.

My makeup was exactly what I had hoped for, and she had the knowledge to use my ideas and do what would look best for my skin type and face shape.

I booked Lillybeth two years in advance from the UK. I wanted my most important suppliers locked in early to be sure not to miss out. It was a gamble booking a MUA from pics online only and I didn’t have my trial until three weeks pre wedding. Despite the previous worry Lillybeth was fast and responsive to all my questions and following my trial I was sure id made the right choice. She also did my three bridesmaids and mothers makeup for the day too. Mum is very insecure and had never had hers done professionally before, but we organised a trial for her too and everything went seamlessly. She was gorgeous - we all were. And the best part is that it lasted the whole day despite it being 28 degrees that day. I had hair down and a ballgown dress with a lot of layers so I had expected it would smudge but it didnt let me down at all. I’d definitely use Lillybeth again and would recommend any future brides to give her a call.

Lillybeth is a magician. She made my dear Mum look absolutely fabulous for my wedding- despite my Mum having been sorely tempted to cancel having her makeup done at all as she a) doesn’t wear it usually and b) didn’t think much could be done for her…was she WRONG! My Mum looked a million bucks with even her sons commenting we’d have to find another occasion where we could get this done for her as she looked so great. I was one very happy daughter and bride! Lillybeth also did my head bridesmaids and myself and we all felt gorgeous. She played to our features with her no-nonsense approach and amazing make up skills. I felt very beautiful and was impressed by the staying power of the makeup without it feeling too OTT. I’d recommend a trial as well - no need to if you’ve got doubts about skills or consistency ...just because you get to feel special twice Thank you Lillybeth!

A few weeks before the wedding, Lillybeth came to my home for a makeup trial. She listened carefully to what I had to say and created the look I was after with such attention to detail. Lily Beth was extremely efficient and detailed in all of her communications up to the trial and wedding. Having someone who was clear and onto it was a huge weight off my shoulders, as it was not always the case with other parts of the wedding organisation.
I wasn’t completely sold on my eye makeup after the trial, and after thinking it through I emailed Lily Beth to explain. To be honest, on the day I was still a little nervous how the eyes were going to turn out but Lily Beth had really taken the email on board and had her own thoughts to contribute. My eyes looked stunning! I could not have been happier.
My bridesmaids all looked absolutely beautiful and were at ease with Desiree, who matched their makeup to suit their own personal tones, but also made them feel calm.
Like many reviews on this page I also COULD NOT believe how well the makeup lasted. We had a few spits of rain prior to the ceremony, as well as dancing our hearts out at the reception - but the makeup still looked good on all of us when I left with my man around 11.30pm.

Absolutely perfect to deal with. When planning a wedding there is so much to do and to make your life easier you want the people that will be part of the day to always reply answer any questions you may have. Lillybeth always replied promptly and was professional but also very nice. I was lucky enough to have Lillybeth herself do my make upon my wedding day.

I was a little sceptical at first because I usually don’t like anyone else doing my make up, I have had really bad experience with make up artists in local malls and stores.
Lillybeth is different, she’s so easy going and makes you feel extremely comfortable. She asks your opinion on what you think would look best and makes sure she knows the details about what kind of makeup you want for your big day. She is happy to do trial runs and is open to change details if there is something you are not sure about. I enjoyed my Trial and Lillybeth sent me pictures afterwards to make sure I was happy with my look. - I was! Lillybeth is AMAZING.

On my wedding day I knew that Lillybeth would make me look like an absolute superstar - and she did! My wedding photos have come out absolutely stunning and I am so happy with what my make up turned out like on the day. The make up isn’t too think and it stays on your face and doesn’t rub off when you hug your loved ones.

I really loved my wedding makeup from Lillybeth for myself, my bridesmaids and my mum. It looked beautiful and lasted all afternoon and into the night. The products she used are really nice and I have sensitive skin and it didn’t irritate me at all. Right from my initial enquiry Lillybeth was extremely friendly, professional, upfront & honest.
Even though I live in Australia so all communication was done via email, nothing was a problem & Lillybeth was more than happy to answer all of my questions I had in detail in a way that even a non make up wearer such as myself would understand!
I had my trial 6 months before our actual wedding day so even though I had a tan on the big day that I didn’t have at my trial, it wasn’t a problem at all, Lillybeth just adapted & tweaked the colours to make them all work.
I couldn’t have been happier with the final result of not only my own make up, but my 3 bridesmaids, mum & mother-in-law as well, we all couldn’t have been happier with it & everyone on the day & into the night commented on hoe good it looked & how well it wore.
I had mine on for about 14 hours & it didn’t wear off at all & only came off when I washed it off.

On my wedding day, I booked Lilybeth to do my make up. As soon as I got engaged I went on Google to look for the best make up artist in Tauranga, where I live, I saw a few photos of what Lilybeth had done and knew that she is the best I can get. I had a trial done, two weeks before the wedding and it was totally worth it. Personally I love make up and I often wear it, so I had an idea of what I wanted, which Lilybeth was always very open to hear and on the day she couldn’t have done a better job. Even though my skin was terrible due to lack of sleep for the whole wedding week and stress. I didn’t have much concern though, knowing that I was in the hands of the best, I knew Lilybeth would make me look flawless and she did.

Lilly Beth was a pleasure to deal with, as I lived in Australia i chose lilybeth through reviews and word of mouth, a lot of friends had used her. Communication was easy, and payment was east being in another country by providing credit card details rather than bank transfer. I had desiree from lilybeth team do my makeup, it was flawless absolutely stunning. She was so lovely, listened to what I wanted and we looked over ideas and pictures, the end result was perfect!!!!

We had Abbie from Lillybeth make up and she did an amazing job on me, my bridesmaids, my mum and my nana. She was really helpful and listened to exactly what we wanted and touched us up right before she left. We were all very happy with the end result. I also had individual false eyelashes that were amazing!
I also purchased the make up kit to use after that consisted of a foundation and the lip stick. It was great having the lipstick but was a little disappointed with the foundation as it wasn’t the same colour or brand that I was already wearing and it looked whiter on me when I put it on before the reception it looked too pale and didn’t sit very well on my skin. However it was a very minor disappointment but could be an improvement to make?

I had spoken to Lillybeth last year about the possibility of booking her for my wedding in Feb however my husband and I changed our plans and no longer needed her service. Lillybeth did a wonderful job on me and my 4 bridesmaids makeup. Everyone at the wedding commented on how gorgeous we all were and how amazing our makeup was and they kept on asking who did it. Our makeup lasted the whole day! Even when we were hot and sweating a bit, you could not even tell-there were no red cheeks! It was flawless. She knew how to work with different skin colours-making it individual to them. Also one bridesmaid had freckles-she worked with the freckles rather than just trying to cover them up.

I absolutely loved my make-up. I couldn’t believe that at the end of the night after being on a very hot dance floor it still looked flawless. I loved the false eyelashes which made my eyes stand out while still looking soft and not over done.

I booked Lilybeth for my wedding but because she wasn’t available herself she offered a few of her team. I chose Jenna and was so happy with my make up. I had no idea what I wanted as I wasn’t somebody who wore a lot of make up so I just let Jenna do her own thing and I loved it. The make up felt amazing and I loved the false eyelashes and would recommend to all - really made me feel like a princess. I had loads of comments in the day and my photographer kept commenting on how she loved what had been done with my eyes.

Working with Lillybeth for our special day was brilliant! She did a beautiful job with make up for the bridal party and mother of the groom, working to achieve the look and feel I was after.
She arrived bright and early to have us all looking fresh faced and beautiful for an early morning ceremony - an extra challenge as we were all running on about 2 hours sleep! Her great sense of humour made the “getting ready” process even more fun!

The reviews and pictures say it all…. previously to booking my make up artist for my wedding I had done alot of research into them in the bay of plenty area as I was from out of town so all I could go by was the reviews and the pictures I had seen from previous brides which speak for itself… Lillybeth was fantastic from the start, always prompt with replies via emails and happily answering any questions I had also going above and beyond by providing recommendations on florists, hair (the amazing brooke duffy of course) and spray/beauty salon for the extra bits and pieces so I was very grateful for this. When I had my trial Lillybeth listened to the look I was after and did exactly that but even better… I had complete trust in her from the start which was a big thing for me particularly being very fussy with having someone do my makeup as I usually prefer to do my own. No matter what look you are going for she can do it.

Lillybeth is a very professional make up artist, who knows her stuff! I booked her after having a terrible make up trial through someone else. As I live in Perth I needed someone I could trust to know everything about makeup particularly as I am very fair and didn’t want to look fake brown/orange!!

Her email correspondence was always really prompt and clear. I had a few ideas of what I wanted but when I met Lillybeth in person a week before my wedding I really trusted her to do something that suited me. Nothing worse then feeling self-conscious on your wedding day because you don’t feel like your self.

She did the makeup for myself, four bridesmaids and my mum. We started about 8:30am and were done in plenty of time to head up to the venue to get into our dresses. Lillybeth even went out of her way to drive up to our venue to deliver a gorgeous compact with lipstick after it hadn’t arrived by the morning she came to do our makeup. She also provided us with touch-up lipstick for throughout the day which was really helpful.

On our wedding day she made the getting ready part so easy, relaxing, and she is also great fun. The make-up itself was very long-lasting - my bridesmaids had theirs started at 9am and it still looked amazing at the end of the night. Sam, who did our makeup was lovely and very personable, which makes all the difference.  I had a trial run with Sam leading up to the day, and she both listened to what I wanted but also offered advice on how to make it better.

Laura Rosa (organised through Lillybeth) did the make up for our wedding for myself and my four bridesmaids. She arrived nice and early to fit us all in and despite it being a very hot summers day we all looked fresh with full faces of make up at the end of the night.
We had a vintage style wedding so didn’t want to look ‘overdone’ and Laura did a great job of making us look classic but sorting out any imperfections.
Lillybeth was also very professional to arrange the booking through - always prompt replying to queries etc.

I wasn’t able to arrange a consultation with Lillybeth prior to my wedding, so was the slightest bit nervous about not being 100% satisfied with how my wedding make-up turned out.  I was pleased that she arrived on time and was a complete joy to spend time with.  Her bubbly,  yet soothing personality was perfect, especially with the clock ticking toward the start of my ceremony.  She frequently checked in to see that I was happy with her progress and at the end I was overjoyed to find that she had nailed the look I was after with only a couple of emailed photos and a brief consultation at the start of my appointment.  I highly recommend her to anyone after special event make-up.  You will not be disappointed with her artful skill and refreshing professionalism.

I’m not a huge makeup wearer so i had no idea what i wanted, I left it up to Lillybeth and she did an awesome job and I felt very pretty on my big day

My husband who isn’t use to me wearing much makeup was a little worried i would look overdone and not like me at all. Lillybeth created a such a natural but beautiful look and he loved it!!

I had a trial first and had no idea what i wanted for my makeup so I left it up to lillybeth’s ideas. When she had finished I looked in the mirror and was amazed I dont think Id ever felt so amazing! this made me so excited for my big day as I knew I’d look better than I could have imagined! On my big day my 4 bridesmaids and my makeup were done to perfection! Lillybeth was so friendly but professional It put me at ease, I was pretty overwhelmed and stressed for parts of the morning but lillybeth also helped to keep me calm.
The only downfall to getting my makeup done by Lillybeth is the fact that now everyday when I do my makeup I wish it looked as nice as how she did it!

Laura was our makeup artist for the day and did a fantasic job. She had 5 of us to do, and managed her time spot-on.
The products she uses are lovely, and they lasted pretty well out in the elements (it was a hot day) Lipstick needed a touch up after a few hours, however you are provided with a mini lippy to do so.
She did a great job at matching the different skin tones & makeup looked nice and natural.
All in all, she did an excellent job, is super easy going and fitted in easily to keep it a stress free day. Thanks Laura

Lillybeth did such a fantastic job of our make-up on the day and we were all very happy. Lillybeth made us all look like movie stars. Everyone commented on her easy nature, flexibility and knowledge and she made everyone feel at ease. She was very efficient too as she had 8 people to do on the day. The make-up lasted great and I only touched up on lipstick once during the day. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

Lillybeth came to my rescue and did my wedding make-up for my big day! She did an amazing job! I normally don’t like a lot of make-up on me, but she took that into consideration and made me feel completely comfortable with it on! Her gained great rapport quickly and I felt completely comfortable with her the entire time! She even managed to fit my mother in last minute with no complaints! I felt the trial run was rushed. At the trial there was myself and 2 other brides-to-be and Lillybeth and the hairdresser were working on one, then the other in quick succession, so there was not much time to really adjust or tweak things.  I was also supposed to get a colour check for my tattoo to be covered on my shoulder and that didn’t happen.

Although on the big day I must thank you Lillybeth for your expertise. My bridesmaids & I looked lovely, and we all felt very special. Only criticism was my small shoulder tattoo which was supposed to be covered but it didn’t work (probably due to not getting a test done at the trial). It took so much time and I was still not happy with the result (paid extra for the coverage too) so I got one of my bridesmaids to remove the coverage, as it looked like a big brown splat on my shoulder and they applied some foundation to soften the tattoo, which in the end made me late for the ceremony.

So overall very happy but would recommend changing the venue for the trial (too small) and the way the trial is conducted. Too rushed and not enough time to really make sure colour selection was ok for the big day.

Thank you so much Lillybeth for all your hard work to make not just myself and bridal party look fabulous but all the extra ladies you did makeup for! We all had so many compliments on how amazing we all looked. I love your professionalism and easy going nature, it made organising our wedding from afar so much easier!

I had a few hiccups with wedding makeup so when Lillybeth swooped in and saved the day I was very grateful.  She listened to my concerns during the trial and I was very happy with the look we went with.  On the day she travelled to me, was very relaxed and fitted in with my hairdresser and friends fussing over me.  The makeup was beautiful and I felt like a absolute goddess.  I would recommend Lillybeth to any bride, she knows her stuff!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Lilybeth. There was prompt contact after all of my enquiries and when we did meet for the trial she knew just what to do to make me look beautiful, even though I had no idea what “look” I was going for. My mum NEVER wears makeup, therefore she was so reluctant when I suggested she be pampered on my wedding day by having Lillybeth do her makeup.  I pressured her into it, and I’m so glad I did! What did mum think once the makeup was applied?..  Well for starters she couldn’t stop ranting about how lovely Lillybeth is and how talented! But also that she has never felt so beautiful in her life, that the makeup felt extremely comfortable and she felt so confident! That truly is something for my mum. Lillybeth did the same for me. Lillybeth is extremely professional and knows her work well.  Our make-up had to last from mid-day to mid-night and the only touch-up needed was the lipstick.  My bridesmaid and myself looked fabulous all day.  She is calm and friendly and this definitely helps on the day when so much is going on.  It’s also a definite plus to have someone coming to us on the day rather than going to a salon.  I would highly recommend Lillybeth to anyone wanting professional make-up services.

So glad I opted to have Lillybeth do my makeup.  From the trial with her we had a clear idea of what I wanted for my big day.  After briefly discussing the changes for my final look she did an amazing job of making me a most glamorous bride.  Plus the makeup lasted the whole day through the ceremony, long photo shoot and dinner with our guests.  I still looked as if I had just been madeover!  My pictures look great and am super delighted with the wonderful service given.  When planning my Wedding I was trying to make my Wedding a beautiful yet cost effective day and without a doubt the best money spent was having my makeup done by Lillibeth as it made me feel amazing and beautiful.
