Dee at Astra bridal is hands down the most amazing person I have dealt with whilst arranging my wedding. She has gone out of her way to help me, found me the most perfect amazing beautiful dress and my partner and really went above and beyond to ensure we don’t know what the others dress looks like. I have been in multiple times as unsure about a few details and she has been very patient with me. I would

Kayla at Astra Hamiton has been totally outstanding all the way.  I thought I’d be there all day there were so many dresses to choose from but Kayla seemed to know exactly what I was looking for!  The second dress I tried on and we’d found it.  The guys at Astra have all been so helpful and when I had my accident they all bent over backwards to help make sure we got everything sorted, even coming in on a day off so that I could pick up my dress.  I was really so well looked after I couldn’t have asked for more.  I can’t wait for the big day so I can show off my dress and share my pictures with everyone.

Dee at Astra Bridal in Hamilton is INCREDIBLE! I had been to another Bridal Salon the day before and was disheartened by my previous experience, to the point of wanting to give up looking. I walked into Astra bridal and felt completely welcome and looked after. Dee has gone out of her way to assist me, i couldn’t have asked for a better bridal consultant then Dee. I Can’t wait to wear my gorgeous dress the Dee picked out for me when i was completely lost on where to start again.

These girls certainly know what there doing, nothing was ever too much to ask. I feel in love with a dress ( which is now my dress - YAYY!!) its was a champagne color and I didn’t love it, so they put an ivory slip underneath the lace so i could see what it would look like in ivory. It was never a problem they just went out of there way to help me get that vision.

Sarah and Dee made me feel like a princess bride. Thank you ladies, you’re true bridal angels!!

Dee from Astra Bridal Hamilton is more than amazing. I was a terrified wreck before my first visit. The thought of dress shopping terrified me! I never thought I would find a dress that suited me and my shape. Dee made me relaxed and in the end I actually enjoyed myself!! She pushed me to try things on and I was actually shocked when I liked it! She knew what to put me in for my shape and confidence. She supported me the whole way through -With payments/budgets and emails!
My dress is being made as we speak and I cant wait to get to try it on again!

Finding the perfect wedding dress for me was so easy here at Astra Bridal. Dee knew exactly what to get me to try on and we knew as soon as we found it. Have been kept in contact the whole time she has been so helpful. Was a big tick off the wedding list and so easy and unstressful. So looking forward to when I get my dress and have my big day.

The ladies at Astra Bridal are amazing! Right from the first moment you walk in the shop they were warm and welcoming. I had the pleasure of having Hannah as my consultant- she was an absolute star!!! I felt comfortable the entire time and never once did she pressure me into making a decision and she was genuinely there to make my experience amazing - and she definitely did that!! My mum and my bridesmaids enjoyed their experience and she was great at involving them too! No matter how many dresses I tried on none of the ladies ever made us feel that we were an inconvenience (which we had felt at a couple of other bridal shops)! Hannah made finding my dream dress an amazing experience and I really believe that customer service plays a big part in where you want to spend your money - it made my decision a lot easier. And I found my dress!!

My sister and I went in search of my wedding dress we went into a few stores in Hamilton and wasn’t overly excited as most were quite rude and you had to book in advance for a fitting (something I didn’t know) we thought we would give Astra Bridal a quick look and low wow was so happy my dream dress was the 1st one I tried on Hannah was beyond amazing she is an absolute gem! She reassured me that they take great care in the brides that come through the door she made my sister and I feel very comforable while we were there and a great selection of dresses are available. We ordered the dress and when it arrived I went in by myself and was very happy with it she also has referred me to a great dress alterations lady. I couldn’t express how lovely Hannah was with everything. Thanks so much Hannah x

Before I had come to Astra bridal I had some not so nice dress fittings in other stores that made me feel kind of stink about myself and the whole dress fitting experience.  When I booked my first appointment they asked if I had tried on any others and I told them how I wasn’t feeling all the best about myself after the last place and from then onwards they have made it their mission to make me feel as amazing and valued as if I was their best friend getting married haha.  They pulled in all the dresses I liked in my size so I could try them on, and after my second fitting there (choosing between two dresses) they made it really easy to come in for my fittings and pretty much, I haven’t had to worry about the dress at all!.  The only bad thing I have to say is I will miss them a lot, and I’m a bit sad I wont be coming in to do anymore fittings on the stage haha.  But thanks to Dee and her amazing team I will be walking down the aisle feeling like a true bride in my amazing dress in 17 days!

I just said YES to the dress!!!!! with the help of the wonderful Hannah! -Amazing! :D

My entourage & I were welcomed into such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere! everyone was so friendly & bubbly had a few laughs too! Hannah was very helpful & in anything she could be - even down to sharing ideas, which was totally awesome! She found it on the very first go! exactly what I was looking for, like to a ‘T’! We were even welcomed a second time, letting me dance around in my future wedding dress while they organised the “boring” stuff :D Dee was very helpful also with the both of them working out payment plans to make it all possible! Even unintentionally struck my first consult while they had a promotion of free consults, which was a really nice surprise! Overall, a really awesome place! stress-free & perfect! a very happy bride-to-be here! :D :D

I had a consultation with Hannah. She was great. Very helpful and made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

This was the 2nd store I came looking for the perfect dress, I brought all my close friends and family with me too. My consultant Hannah was beyond amazing she made sure all the family had space but also that the whole time I was comfortable and I felt like she really listened to what I was looking for!! In the end after trying on a few we knew we had found the right one. Hannah made sure I knew what bra to wear and helped with all the little.things I should have asked but didn’t know to! Best ever experience

Astral Bridal are hands down the nicest bunch of ladies I have ever come across.  You can tell they love their job as they treat every single person with respect and compassion.  They helped me find the dress of my dreams and the whole experience was better then I could have ever imagined.  I fully recommend them to every one I come across.  there customer services is surpassed by none.  Dee and Sandy you girls are amazeballs

I went shopping for my dress in January and had the pleasure of having Hannah as my bridal consultant. This was the first store I went to for my gown and Hannah was kind, welcoming and took the time to get to know who I was and what I was looking for.  The store itself was great, there were so many dresses and a great variety of sizes and silhouettes.

Hannah was knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel at ease throughout the consultation. She included my mum and my MOH’s and they all enjoyed the experience too. I tried on eight dresses within the hour to ensure the silhouette was right. Hannah helped to find dresses and she never put any pressure on to make a purchase.

The next day I went to a different boutique, and after having such a lovely experience with her and so many options at Astra bridal, this store was so lackluster. We returned to Astra Bridal and I bought my dress from Hannah. The $50 consult fee went toward the dress.

Hannah knew how to make me feel special, she could gauge my personality and I had another wonderful consult when my dress came in. Hannah is an asset to Astra Bridal Hamilton. Any bride would be lucky to have her as their consultant.

Oh my goodness Dee from Astra Bridal Hamilton is my hero! The dress is the most important component of the wedding to me, and I was so afraid of anything going awry. I was so lucky to find Dee!

Firstly walking up the stairs to the shop is like walking up into wedding heaven! It is so beautiful, it was the first moment I felt like a bride. The ladies are all so sweet and fuss over you so you feel so beautiful and special. Trying on dresses, I went from apprehensive (as many ladies are about fitting into dresses!) to feeling really beautiful and comfortable. I found THE dress, but was unsure about a couple of things, but Dee had all sorts of alterations up her sleeve to solve every question and problem I had. I’ve spent 18 months super excited about my dress!

I later moved to Auckland but insisted on driving down to Hamilton to deal with Dee. With the wedding approaching, it was adjustment time and I was really nervous about taking my dress out of their locked storage and having someone mess with it. But Dee ensured only a seamstress she trusted would touch it, and even though they already had my money, she went out of her way and took care of everything - I left her with my general availability and she took care of bookings, moved the dress, and left a veil and selection of headpieces for me to try. It was a busy Saturday so she couldn’t be there, but when I returned for the final fitting, even though it was her day off, she still came in just to see the finished product and tell me I looked pretty!

She also really knows her stuff. Not only did she come up with the adjustment ideas I needed, but I went with her pick of the headpiece, even though I would never have chosen it myself. Also, how that lady instantly remembered me and which dress I’d bought after a year of no contact, I have no idea!

Thank you so much Dee, this was such a huge component of my wedding and you have made the experience better than I could have hoped. I cannot recommend her enough - you can feel 100% confident that you will be looked after and will get more than your money’s worth! xxx

I had a very pleasant and fun experience at Astra Bridal Hamilton. My consultant was Hannah and she was absolutely amazing. The role really suits her and she is definitely the type of person you need when you are feeling apprehensive, anxious, excited, scared all at the same time. She made me feel at ease, calm and both appointments were successful.
Cannot say enough about my experience with Hannah but the rest of the team were all helpful and I was made to feel very comfortable.
I just want to say that I only ended up going to Astra Bridal Hamilton as my consultation in Tauranga was cancelled but I am so happy it happened this way.
Very pleased and cannot wait to see the dress and for this reason only, I have not rated the dress.

Being from another country getting married in New Zealand and not knowing where to start looking for all the wedding requirements was becoming a stress for me, a friend recommended Astra Bridal as she got her dress from here, this was the only shop I went to try dresses on and I’m so pleased I chose to go to Astra Bridal first.
Wow when I walked in and seen all the dresses hanging up, ohh like a kid in a candy shop! Sandy came over, asked a few questions on style etc and we started racking a variety of dresses to try on. Both me, Sandy and my now husband chose a few dresses each to get a real variety going on. The dress I ended up choosing was one the hubby had picked out!
Sandy was such a delight to work with, she really knows her stuff, made me feel very comfortable, lots of giggles and hugs given!
We customised my dress, Sandy doing all the small detailed stitching, such a wonderful patient and talented women, just couldn’t of wished for a better service! xx

As soon as I walked up the stairs into a straight bridal I knew this was the place I would find my dress. The staff and in particular Hannah were all so lovely and welcoming and made me feel like a princess trying on dresses. I couldn’t have asked for any better!

I had been told I had waited too long and there was no hope of finding the perfect dress by another store moments before I walked into Astra Bridal My wedding was 4 months away and was already dreading the dress search. 

My mother-in-law and I decided to go into Astra Bridal just to ‘have a look’. We were met by Dee who knew exactly what to do with a nervous, non-girly bride to be. Within a few minutes she had a rack of dresses in the right size and style ready to go.. The second dress I tried on was the one. What was I worried about? Dee made it easy and so much fun! 

My flowergirls live in Auckland but that was no problem for Dee. The dresses were promptly sent up to their closest branch (at no extra cost) so they could be tried on. Done! This wonderful lady knows whats shes doing!

Dee and the girls at Astra Bridal are the definition of great customer service, they go over-and-above to get the job done right and are a joy to visit. I highly recommend to any bride in the future. You’re in very safe hands!

After a nightmare experience with an online supplier I was left in the lurch with no dress and my wedding the next month! Hannah from Astra Bridal, Hamilton made the whole thing a very enjoyable experience from my first appointment to ordering in other dresses to assisting me & finally measuring me for my dress choice. I first headed to Astra after being lucky enough to win free wedding shoes from the Bride and Groom magazine.

Since my first visit I was hooked! Dee has been incredible. She has put up with me trying loads of dresses on, ordering dresses from new collections and helping me to find the perfect dress for me! As my wedding day creeps closer my dress has arrived and Dee has been a huge help in ensuring the last minute alterations will see me looking my best! Even the little touches like being able to borrow a veil to show my hairdresser is a huge help. She has been so helpful and so passionate about my day and it’s really great to have someone who is so invested in making sure your big day is perfect!

All the Girls at Astra Bridal are so amazing and friendly! I have really enjoyed my time at Astra and wish it didn’t have to come to an end! They instantly new what dress would look amazing and helped you make tough decisions and would help you think of ways to change the dress if you didn’t like something. They helped with shoes, veil, pettycoat and they even have a close relationship with an alterations place so it makes it so easy to be able to try things on with your dress.

They are amazing people and the dress is great quality. I Highly recommend this place! I always walked out with a smile on my face and never for 1 second felt disappointed!

The thing with a short engagement (4months) is that I thought I’d be pushing it to find the perfect dress within my time frame. That was before I walked into Astra Bridal and into the incredible care of Dee (and Sherrie). Dee makes me feel like a princess. Dee, in Hamilton, has been instrumental in helping me decide what to wear and with what for my wedding. When looking for a wedding dress I didn’t know what to expect. I went to a few wedding dress stores and didn’t have much luck with dresses and especially not a lot of luck with service but then I went to Astra Bridal and found “The” perfect dress and received the most amazing service from such kind caring ladies! Sandy and Dee have been amazing, from holding my baby while i try things on, to ordering in dresses and shoes for me to try to making me feel great about myself these ladies do it all! Even after I had already paid for my dress they still go out of their way to help you with anything they can, they truly are there with you and for you for the entire process! Where to start! Words can not describe the amazing experience I have had with Dee at Astra Bridal HAMILTON.  From the first time I entered the store to the very day I picked up my dress, I was blown away by Dee’s kind, caring and helpful nature! Her sense of humour made the experience a lot of fun and I would give anything to have it all over again!  My dress was stunning and fitted me like a glove. For Dee nothing is to big to solve, or find out or help with. I honestly cannot express the awesome time I’ve had with Dee at Astra. If you had asked me about 5 weeks ago, I would have told you I was getting married in a potato sack. I swear I tried on every dress in Hamilton and Tauranga and just could not find THE dress. I’m not what you would call the stereotypical bride…and I was running out of time to get something ordered…

Then I met Dee and Fianna at Astra Bridal - on my first visit, I couldn’t really find anything on the racks that I believed would be suitable. Dee convinced me to try a few things on and I got an idea of what suited me. Dee worked (what it felt like was) Day and Night bringing in demo dresses from other stores for me to try on -I felt really special, like Dee was going above and beyond to try and find my ideal dress. Looking on here at the reviews it looks like Dee has this kind of superstar service all the time with all her clients. Go Dee!

These 2 awesome ladies make you feel super comfortable even when you are standing in your undies - and even when you go for a dress trial and are accidently wearing your not so modest undies They also have a kind way of being honest about the dress styles that do not suit you as much as others and gently guide you in the right direction.

I can’t thank Astra Bridal Hamilton enough - I have ordered the absolute perfect dress and wouldn’t you know it - it is nothing like what I had imagined myself wearing, but exactly what Dee had said would suit me from the start. Thank you

We went to a few other wedding stores in Hamilton but none had the selection nor were as friendly as what Sherrie was at Astra Bridal. Great selection of different style dresses.
Would definitely recommend both the store and Sherrie for helping you find the right dress. Their excitment and energy level is awesome! Thanks heaps for all your help.

A-MAZE-ZING

Could not recommend highly enough!

I started my experience with Sherrie. She made the process so comfortable for me it was like we were friends from primary school. No matter what size dress I picked Sherrie made it fit enough for me to get an idea of the look. In another wedding store I went to in Hamilton I was simply told ‘that is a size 10 and wont fit you’.

Sherrie was honest with me on what suited me and what didn’t. In the end she picked the dress that turned out to be THE dress for me. She even arranged for THE dress to come from another store in a bigger size for me to try on to get a better idea of the fit of the dress.

When THE dress arrived I had Dee. She too had a way of making me feel like I once again was with my primary school friends. As we had travelled about an hour to get to Astra Bridal Dee made sure the dress was 100% perfect before I left. She also couriered shoes to me to try on then arranged for them to be coloured and couriered back to me. This gave me one less thing to worry about and I knew my shoes were in very good hands.

A really nice touch both Sherrie and Dee did as I was leaving was give me a hug. Both times almost caused me to cry. To them the hug was probably something minor yet a meant a lot to me. For me this hug was absolute comfort in knowing that my ‘primary school friends’ were looking after me and I was getting the best dress for me.

Over all I can not recommend Sherrie and Dee highly enough. Please be sure to book an appointment with either of these ladies when you are looking for your THE dress - you will not be disappointed.

Dee was amazing! She provided a lovely service, going out of her way to help me find the right dress and nothing was too troublesome for her. She made the bridal party and I very happy and hence made the experience amazing!

All the staff were very nice and helpful. We were on a short time frame and the dress arrived exactly when we were promised. I highly recommend Astra Bridal in Hamilton.

Booked my appointment with Dee at Astra and a few days later this blushing bride her mother and sister arrived at the bottom of the steaps. Excitedly we went up and were greeted with a smiling face.  Dee asked what style I liked which I answered with a giggle “I have no idea try me in anything” so with a search here and there out came the stunning gown. In the fitting room I felt so comfortable with Dee any topic was a go’er, dresses went on then came off and if the sample style was too small a wee nip was done just so we could see it on as I could bee the perfect one. Even though it wasn’t and my family sent me straight back into the fitting room Dee was not concerned at all and after 2 hours we did find the perfect one!!!!  Then was time to Add “Magpie” and be measured. Dee you were amazing and what a wonderful experience working with you and your team very professional clearing and fun :D

Great friendly staff. From my first phone contact right through to choosing my dress was easy. The ladies here are helpful without being pushy and know their stuff. Gave me some helpful advice, I viewed tons of dresses at several stores in Auckland and Hamilton, going back to Astra for a 2nd time to try their new styles .Once I tried the Melanie, I knew I was done Can’t wait to get married and wear it x

Dee & Sandy from Astra Bridal Hamilton could not be more lovely or helpful. I was prepared for a lengthy period of time in finding my perfect wedding dress, low & behold this was the first shop I looked at, the girls took my wish list & pulled a dozen dresses & were incredibly patient & helpful as I tried each one on. Amazingly on the 5th dress I found “The One”, when they looked in the system to order it they found it was no longer in manufacture in the US so the shop sample would be my exact gown, they put me at ease through the whole process & helped me in find the perfect accessories to complete the desired look. We’re now 10 weeks out from our wedding & the girls are always so excited about our day when I see them. They’ve been incredibly accommodating when I’ve wanted to bring my bridesmaids in from out of town to look at the dress. I dreaded looking for a wedding dress when I was first engaged but the girls made the process so much fun & so easy that I’m so pleased That they were my first, last & only choice.

Dee, Sandy and all the other ladies at Astra Bridal in Hamilton were fantastic. Top class service! They were all very helpful, honest in their opinions, not too pushy or over the top.

I had an amazing experience, they were so warm and helpful. I felt very special, and I absolutely love my dress! They had a good range of styles too.

I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a wedding dress, you won’t be disappointed!

Sandy and Dee at Astra Bridal Hamilton are amazing! I actually can’t sing their praises enough. I live in Western Australia and wasn’t able to have any fittings until 3 weeks before the wedding but they made the whole process too easy for me. From my first contact with them, they were very accommodating as I was really worried about the whole process as I wasn’t living in NZ, but they assured me that everything would be fine and not to stress.

They are wonderful to deal with and are both really lovely people. I loved that I wasn’t just another bride to them, and they genuinely cared about finding me the perfect dress. They definitely go the extra mile and I couldn’t have asked for a better shop/consultants to deal with. I would definitely recommend making Astra your first stop when searching for your dress.

Have found Astra Bridal Hamilton to be so accommodating and helpful, couldn’t have asked for more! I live in the South Island and Dee and the girls have made the hunt for my dream dress easier than I could have ever imagined.

I would wholeheartedly recommend them and could never imagine having purchased my wedding gown anywhere else, the whole experience has been a breeze and so enjoyable.

I absolutely LOVE Astra Bridal Hamilton!! All the ladies are so lovely especially Dee They will help you any way they can, and in some cases, go out of their way to make things easier for you. I didn’t even buy my dress from here - I have a dress from a family member purchased at Astra Bridal in Auckland, but I needed to buy shoes and a torsolette. Don’t go anywhere else! This shop has it all! A large selection of great quality products and wonderful staff!  Just go! This will be your first and only bridal shop. Don’t waste your precious planning time by going to other stores! Thank you all very much for your help and expertise xo

For all you ladies out there looking for a stunning wedding dress you must go and see Dee at Astra Bridal!!!! I had no idea what I wanted nor what style would fit my body shape.. after a brief phone conversation with Dee I was booked in and ready to go.. the day I turned up Dee and the ladies were there to great me, Dee had a variety of dresses ready for me to try on..and after only being there for a short amount of time Dee felt just like a family member I was so comfortable around her..and together we found the perfect dress..
I cant wait for my wedding day in March, Dee has continued to keep in contact and has been fabulous in recommending alterations people for my bridesmaid dresses etc..

I had my first consultation with my parents and the team were amazing, I’ve never had so much fun.  I tried on so many different dresses and finally found my dream dress - which was something I didn’t even want to try on in the first place!  I am so glad Dee & Theresa convinced me to try it on!

I went to other bridal stores in Hamilton and the service just didn’t compare, at Astra it was such a special experience for me and that was down to the ladies at the Hamilton Store.

I have had the most amazing time with Astra Bridal in Hamilton. Dee has helped me with everything I need and I have got the most gorgeous bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and I love my dress from astra bridal more than I can put in words. Astra Bridal made finding the perfect gown seamless and a great experience. The staff are so caring and really listen and go the extra mile so you get exactly what suits you. Mary-Ellen was awesome, she didn’t push her opinion on me but widened my imagination to new ideas. Sheryl put so much effort in to find me exactly what I loved. I LOVE LOVE LOVED my gown it was just stunning and beautiful, I felt amazing in it on the day and the shoes, hair piece and earrings were all from Astra Bridal too which complimented the whole look perfectly. Astra bridal is amazing especially in comparison to other bridal stores in Hamilton! After going to another Hamilton bridal store I found the service at Astra to be refreshing. Dee at Astra is awesome!! Dee helped me find my perfect wedding dress. It’s important to have somebody care about you and show a genuine interest after all it is the one and only wedding dress you will hopefully ever buy. You need it to be special and memorable.

I found going into other bridal stores they didn’t have that personal touch Astra has. What I love about Astra is that they remember that for them they do this day in and day out but for the bride its most likely her first ever time and that deserves to be treated like royalty for every bride to be.

I wouldn’t change anything about my dress and I wouldn’t change anything about my experience with Dee from Astra!
