I’d give this venue a 2 out of 10 and would not recommend it or advise extreme caution and negotiation beforehand. 

The setting is beautiful and convenient in the sense that the ceremony, celebration and accommodation are all in the same location.

BUT
-The hall was dirty when we arrived
-There is no phone reception and the landline was only working intermittently and we were given the wrong number, so there was no emergency communication available.
-There was NO HOT WATER for most of the accommodation over 2 nights.  Our guests had to have either no shower or a cold one.
-One of the beds in an executive cabin was broken. A light did not work in a motel unit.
-There was rat poo in a cupboard in the cottage
-Construction was being carried out in the hall and our wet weather alternative and we weren’t notified of this, so we had to change our plans at the last minute.
-There was minimal equipment in the kitchen - No sharp knives etc

AND WORSE

When alerting management (not on site) to these issues the following working day, we got a very negative response and felt that we were not listened to.  Some issues were denied that they existed, others, especially the ‘no hot water’ was ignored and we were told that we should have approached the people on site. My family and friends had done this several times and nothing was repaired on either day.  This was over a Thursday and Friday.

This very abrupt, accusing and abrasive response from management was very unpleasant and difficult to deal with.  She gave a very minimal compensation on a take it or leave it basis.  She was not prepared to discuss any of this over the phone. 

It was only because of the support of my family and friends that we still had a fantastic wedding.
