I absolutely cannot praise the Wellesley (and Clarice) enough for the absolutely outstanding service they provided us on our wedding day, and throughout the whole planning process.

First of all, the Wellesley is such a beautiful and elegant venue. Nothing is required to decorate it. We had the bare minimum flowers and it was amazing. Ten times nicer than the majority of corporate box hotels around Wellington, and better value for money too! Especially considering what you save not having to decorate the place.

Secondly, Clarice. What an asset she is! She goes an extra ten miles to make your day perfect, and is so helpful. she must have replied to about ten million of my emails but she never gets grumpy, she always has a smile on her face, is extremely patient and will take care of everything for you. She really knows what she’s doing, she is personal and professional all at once, and she can pre-empt your every question and your thoughts before you’ve even had them.

The packages are clearly laid out, there are no hidden costs. What you see is what you get, and as I say, very good value for money. All of our guests enjoyed the food, all of the staff were delightful. They made us and our families feel so at home for the whole two days we were there, setting up and packing down. They all met us at the doors with open arms ready to carry things and assist with whatever we needed. They are so flexible, and they did a beautiful job helping us set things up exactly like I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

When we arrived back at our room after the long day the staff had even scattered rose petals, laid out flowers, chocolates, chesses and wine for us with a card to say congratulations.

We have vowed to go back there every year on our anniversary to get the most out of that AMAZING bathroom in the honeymoon suite. Anyway I could go on and on but the long and short of the matter is that the Wellesley is the best around, no question. They made the whole day a magical experience for us!

The Wellesley provided us with a stunning evening to finish our day.  The environment was superb with a large array of options and extras that could be added to our package.  They were very accomodating with last minute changes and never once said no to a request or change no matter how big or small. 

The environment is lovely and suited our 70 guests well.  The food was some of the best we have had at a reception and far exceeded our expectations.  vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten free meals were provided with no fuss and made our guests feel even more pampered. 

The staff were very professional and worked very smoothly as a team together.  Clarice the function manager made the event so easy to organise and helped out with in room decorations.

Lastly the accomodation provided as part of the package was lovely and we will recommend the hotel to anyone we know who is travelling to wellignton and needs accomodation.

Lovely venue, professional staff and brilliant food.  We highly recommend the wellesley to anyone thinking of a function.

We firstly made contact with The Wellesley Boutique Hotel Functions Co-ordinator, Clarice Olckers, in early July 2009 to determine the availability and pricing of the Wellesley Boutique Hotel for our wedding on Saturday 10 October 2009.

From the very start I found Clarice to be very helpful and she got back to me with updates and information exactly when she said that she would. Over the last 3+ months that Clarice has coordinated our wedding she has gone from strength to strength. She is an outstanding asset to to your business. Clarice is professional and extremely effective and thorough at communicating information at all times. She has the very special ability to be both warm and promptly efficient. It is rare to find such a wonderful combination of these two skills. Not once over the duration of the last few months have I had to chase Clarice up for information or follow her up on a task. This was extremely refreshing to find. Clarice constantly went ‘the extra mile’ by not only providing me with the information that I required, but she also made alternative suggestions and provided me with other options that I hadn’t even considered. This was a wonderful attribute to have in my wedding Functions Co-ordinator as I had so much to organise in such a short period of time that I truly could not have done without her expertise.

On the day of our wedding, Clarice was her usual supportive, approachable, friendly, and efficient self. I appreciated this greatly on such an emotional and busy day.

We commend Clarice on the exceptional work that she did up t0 and during our wedding day.We can honestly say that it would not have been the outstanding success that it was, if it wasn’t for Clarice’s vast proficiencies.

The Wellesley Boutique Hotel is very fortunate to have such an excellent employee. We will most certainly be recommending The Wellesley Boutique Hotel to our friends and family for their functions.
