Today was my first day trying on dresses and I was blown away with how fantastic wilkins was and their great range. I have fallen in love

Wilkins was amazing to deal with, the ladies there gave me there honest opinion of what they thought my body shape suited and made me feel like a princess!
I got my dress and my veil from them.
I also liked the personal touch of sending a wedding card to us in time for our day which I thought was really nice considering I brought the dress off them months earlier.

Wilkins Bridal was recommended by a friend, and I found them amazing. I am a bigger girl, well in wedding dress terms anyway! but they stocked so many sizes, and made me so comfortable. All my insecurities went out the window. You can try on as many dresses as you like without cost, no rushing and it is very personal. I had no idea what to expect at my first consultation but I won’t go anywhere else! Service is second to none, the consultant picked out my dress for me and I absolutely love it! Dresses are relatively cheap too. Highly recommended!

I found Wilkins to be keen to help, you can try on as many different dresses as you liked, (without having to pay for a trial) & they also provided me with shoes/jewellery/veil to see the whole picture!

Their seamstresses do a brilliant, professional job, as my dress needed a whole size to be taken in the week before our wedding, including hundreds of intricate beading - this was all done beautifully with no way to tell it had been changed - absolutely loved every minute of wearing my dress!!!!

Also was very reasonably priced considering the workmanship of dress & the service.

it felt like i went to every bridal shop in chch, for some reason Wilkins was the last one i went to.. and it is where i found my perfect dress!

the best part is they have “normal” sizes - i found that most bridal shops in chch stock a size 8 to try on, and most of the shops aren’t too helpful.

wilkins stocked in size 12 and then pinned the dress so i could see exactly what it looked like, they then kitted me out in a veil and jewwelery so i coudl get the overall effect. AMAZING!!

they also madea huge fuss over my hubby when it came time to get his suit, which is so important, AND cheaper than some of the other major suit hire places with MUCH better service
