About Bay of Plenty Weddings
Four years ago, I added wedding photography to my portfolio. I saw it as a way to combine my passion for art, having become a finalist in this year World of Wearable Arts in Wellington, with my flair for storytelling and of course the added bonus of working with my wife Jackie, a registered celebrant. The result is: stunning photographs that capture both the spirit and the small details of the day.
Together we pride ourselves on the personal contact you will receive throughout your preparation and you can feel confident in the fact that it will always be me taking the photo’s on the day, and Jackie is there to ensure a relaxed, upbeat ceremony. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding, capturing the fun and emotions, translating them into beautiful fresh and modern pictures. I will document all the key moments, from the bridal preparations through to the first dance.
Photography is a visual poetry, music, heart, and soul for me; it is like a very good wine and Jackie’s style is relaxed, but professional, vibrant, and creative. Jackie brings wireless amp, microphones and the entire set up for the ceremony…....together we have a vast experience but with see each wedding through new eyes.

I cannot recommend Steve highly enough for a wedding photographer, along with his wife Jackie as a celebrant. As a team they create a sense of calmness and yet fun to planning your amazing day and on the day itself.
Steve is so full of energy and works tirelessly to ensure you as the bride look amazing and the essence of the day gets captured. If you let him direct you, you won’t get those boring ‘line up’ cliche wedding party photos, but some amazing pieces of art that definitely won’t be hiding on a CD or an album tucked away.
He made the whole day fun, from getting ready as a bride to celebratory photos with friends and family after the ceremony.
Steve had our photos back to us within days of returning from our week long honeymoon and they brought tears of joy to my eyes!
Handy hint: We took our wedding party photos before our ceremony which took a lot of pressure off us when it came to the deed of getting hitched. Thoroughly recommend to any bride and groom to be to do the shoot first!
