Carmen Fortuin designed and created the wedding dress of my dreams for my big day in March 2013. I provided Carmen with a picture of a style of dress I liked and pictures of lace. She took in all my ideas and gave brilliant advice and suggestions on how to make it all work, and I fell in love with the final result! Carmen is very professional and friendly and accommodated dress fittings - even out of town as I didn’t live in Wellington.

Carmen made my 3 Bridesmaid dresses and also my mother’s outfit.

I came to her with an idea and a couple of pictures and from that she designed the perfect dress that suited all 3 of my bridesmaids who were sizing ranging from 8 - 18 perfectly!

The outfit she made for my mother was nothing short of amazing. It was a silk dress with matching silk embroided jacket.

She was effortless to deal with and require very few fittings to get the dresses fitting perfectly (even when having to deal with weight changes!)

I would 100% recommend her to anyone needing a professional dressmaker and would not hesitate in using her again.

Carmen was able to custom design and make the perfect wedding dress for me, while I was living in San Francisco and getting married in Hawaii.  I sent her a picture of an idea I liked and she tailored it to fit me and my personality.  The attention to detail that she does, always amazes me. I was in New Zealand for an initial fitting and then the final fitting was done in San Francisco - she shipped the dress over to me.  There were barely any alterations necessary.  She also made my husband’s suit (beige linen).  The day could not have been more perfect and comfortable for both of us.
