I first went shopping in a large shop with lots of fittings at once, it’s was very overwhelming I walked away feeling like I wouldn’t find a dress that was right for me. I then found Sally and what different experience, sally store is small quiet and beautiful. Sally was so accommodating helping ensure I could arrange fittings the lined up with overseas time zone, she helped my mum feel included in the whole process, a very special thing to be able to do when living overseas. I found a perfect dress and with a few tweaks she made a dress that was beautiful, comfortable and absolutely perfect. Sally also created a beautiful bow to match my dress opposed to a vail and what a perfect addition to my beautiful dress. Sally helped me bring a little bit of New Zealand home to my Irish wedding she is absolutely amazing from start to finish!!!

I had researched online and stumbled across Sally Eagle Bridal and fell in love with their beautiful wedding dresses.
I tried all the dresses I picked out and soon realising that the long sleeve dresses were not for me. I felt like I had no idea what direction I was going to go in. I liked the bottom of one dress and with the suggestion to try on a dress I had not picked out at all I feel in love with the top of another.
A custom combination of two dresses was going to be the dress for me.  The ladies are a dream to deal with, nothing but pleasant and professional. I had to travel just over an hour for my appointments and even when I became sick and couldn’t attend the appointment or my wedding heels hadn’t arrived in time they were so lovely and never bothered to change the date to suit me. 
 standout for me was the way they custom make your dress to be the perfect dress for you, they take any fears you have of not feeling secure in your dress and come up with geniues ways to make sure you do! 
Icame out with a classic wedding dress of my dreams that made me feel beautiful. 
Frm the consultation process, measurements, changes, fittings the price for the dress is very reasonable. I cannot recommend or thank Sally and her team enough.

Just loved my dress. It was parts from two dresses becoming one. The team were able to create my dress with ease. It was super comfortable and was easy to wear and move in. My only critique is that a section of fabric on the back was really delicate and has pulled a bit creating a couple of very small holes during all hugging and dancing that a wedding day invovles. Other than that amazing dress and amazing service during the dress making process!

I had envisioned my dream dress for years and couldn’t find it anywhere. Sally and her team made this dream a reality when they said “no problem” after I requested to take elements from a range of their dresses and mesh them together.

My regular fittings at the stunning boutique and friendly discussions with the lovely Ashleigh were always so exciting. I knew throughout the whole process that my requests were being listened to and that I was being put first.

After my first visit (where I tried on 7 different dresses) I knew that I wanted a dress created by Sally Eagle Bridal.

What a wonderful process with lovely people. It is such top notch service to be able to pick a dress that is then made from scratch especially for you at great value! I loved every visit and watching the dress take shape.

On the day I felt like a princess (Def not something I am used to as I live in active wear!) but was the more comfortable I have ever been in a dress, It was also not too hot or cold. It wasn’t the warmest day and I didn’t get cold but also danced the night away and played tennis (weird I know) without overheating.

The service by the whole team was super warm, professional and friendly. I met mostly with Ash but also had interaction with a couple of other staff members and found everyone to be respectful and nothing was ever a problem.

I have never felt more taken care of in my life. I was treated like an absolute star every single appointment. The team at Sally Eagle Bridal (especially the beautiful Ashleigh) made me feel like I was their very first bride, they got excited with me and never forgot a single detail of what we discussed

As a bigger (now slightly smaller) bride, I was always nervous about trying on dresses and dreaded the idea of finding one. Then I meet the team.

Ashleigh was with me every step of the way and was such an absolute treat to deal with. Every email, every question, every fitting, she was right there getting it sorted.

My dress was better than I expected and I felt every bit the princess in it! My dress was more than just a dress and I can’t thank the team at Sally eagle enough.

I would highly recommend Sally Eagle to any bride. The whole process from start to finish is designed to make you feel relaxed, valued and special. The bridal shop is beautiful, the staff are lovely, highly professional and go out of their way to accommodate tricky requests. I was able to customise aspects of my dress which resulted in me getting my dream dress. I looked all over and Sally Eagle was the only place I could find exactly what I had been looking for.

I had an idea of the dress I wanted for my wedding day well before I started looking around. When I found Sally Eagle’s website I was excited to see there was a Wellington based designer with a selection of ‘tops’ and ‘skirts’ you could put together to create a unique dress. I went into my first appointment with a clear idea of which pieces I wanted to wear, but knowing I did not want to wear the traditional white or cream.

Ashleigh was more than accommodating as we discussed my ideas and how to achieve a pale yellow colour with the fabrics they were able to source. I then threw an extra spanner in the works by letting her know I was moving to Australia and would not be able to attend many fittings. We settled on a design and in the end they hand dyed the fabric to achieve the colour I wanted, for no extra charge.

After only three fittings in total the dress I ended up with was absolutely spot on, exactly what I had imagined and perfect for my day. I felt totally natural and the lightweight fabric meant it was easy to move around. The colour was commented on by so many of my guests and made me happy I had stuck to my first instinct.

I thoroughly recommend Sally Eagle for any future brides, they listen and interpret what you want completely and the whole team were just lovely to deal with. Thanks so much guys!

Sally and the team at Sally Eagle Bridal who worked with me were very accommodating, professional and friendly. I had an idea in mind for a custom dress I wanted made and the outcome was exactly what I had imagined. They have a great range of different fabric samples and they provided helpful advice regarding fit and fabric to suit what I was trying to achieve. I had found a particular silk in a fabric store that I liked, which they were happy to source. The process was very easy from the first visit to the last. I was hoping to to have the dress made in just a few fittings as I live out of Wellington but it was definitely worth having the 5-6 that I had as this enabled tweaks to get it perfect. Overall, I was very happy with their service and with my dress.

Amazing!! I loved the whole process of changing bits of the dress and seeing the dress develop over the fittings. I am so grateful for the best experience your team is awesome.  Thanks guys !

I loved the experience of having my dress made by Sally, Ashleigh and the team.  I went in thinking I would choose a dress out of Sally’s collection, but ended up working with Sally to design a unique wrap top and matching skirt. This was a lot of fun and no more expensive than choosing one of Sally’s designs. Ashleigh was lovely to deal with and made the fitting process such a pleasure.

I absolutely loved my outfit and lots of my guests commented on how elegant it was and how they loved that it was a little different from white (it was a pale blue with a layer of white chiffon over the top). It was so comfortable to wear and I’m looking forward to wearing the top again for special occasions.

Wow! Any bride’s out there please please go visit Sally, Ashleigh and the team. I gave myself about 6 months to find my dress which lots of people told me was not long enough. I originally had a design in mind, Sally drew it up for me and we got about two months into making it.

At one fitting I spied the Audrey dress from her own collection and suddenly started having doubts about my own dress that was being made.

Sally and Ashleigh both talked me through all the options, and made it incredibly easy for me to swap my dress for the Audrey dress. It was literally no hassle at all. This was all done about three months before our wedding and Sally did not flinch at all and told me not to worry . She had it all in hand. And she did!

The Audrey dress that I choose was then made to measure. I loved my dress and it was sooooo comfortable all day and allowed me lots of comfort and room to dance! I also travelled overseas with the dress in my hand luggage. I did not even need to get it steam cleaned - any creases fell out of it.

I cannot thank not recommend Sally Eagle Bridal enough. It is such a friendly, happy place Thank you Sally, Ashleigh and team.

Sally Eagle is amazing! I discovered Sally Eagle at the wedding show in Wellington. After trying a few different bridal shops I chose Sally Eagle because they have beautiful dresses and they weren’t pushy when trying on dresses, were very accommodating and offered honest opionions. Their prices are also very good! The whole process was stress free with good communication the whole time. I had several fittings and they were so good about adjusting my dress to make it look perfect. I LOVE my dress.

I discovered Sally Eagle at the Wellington Wedding Show last year and was blown away by their beautiful dresses. I quickly booked a consultation and have never looked back.
I tried on a lot of dresses at my initial consultation and it was so hard to choose. Luckily, since the dresses are made to measure, I was able to select the bodice of one dress and pair it with the skirt of another.
The whole process was easy and stress-free with the help of the wonderful Ashleigh. I had several fittings along the way and was advised in plenty of time when it would be ideal to have things like the bra and shoes sorted for the next fitting.
My bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses and one chose a dress from Sally Eagle. Again, the process was very easy and they were happy to customise the dress however we wanted.
I have received an endless stream of compliments on my dress - how much it suited me, how perfectly it fit and just how beautiful it was, with some even saying it was the most beautiful wedding dress they’d ever seen.

Thank you Sally, Ashleigh and team for making such a beautiful and special dress for me for my big day!

It was such a bonus for me to have the opportunity to support such a talented dress designer right here in my hometown, Wellington NZ.

There were so many dresses of Sally’s that I loved from the start of my wedding dress ‘search’ - their soft, flowing, lacy, romantic and subtly vintage style suited my style and chosen wedding look. Sally was an obvious choice for my dress!

After an initial try on of my favourites in the Wellington boutique, I had a clear idea of which colours and fabrics and combinations of style I liked and would suits me most. But as I am a mother of two young children - about a size 12 with curves and fuller bust(!) - I needed a dress which would be supportive and flattering and make me feel confident on the big day! Sally designed me a custom dress - lovely full length lace, cap sleeve fit and flare, with a higher back which was just perfect for me.

I enjoyed the process of seeing the dress evolve and although I didn’t know exactly how it would look finished, I felt in very good hands with Sally and her team!

My finished dress was absolutely beautiful, it fit perfectly and felt stunning to wear on the day. I was so happy and not at all worried about wearing a fitted dress and having all those eyes on me!

Thanks again for dealing with my last-minute request after the final fitting just before Christmas to get my dress perfect, I know that was a such a busy time for you guys and I appreciated that you ‘did the extra mile’ for me as they say.

I’d like to add that I bought a lovely full length veil and very beautiful Rachel Simpson (UK) wedding shoes from Sally Eagle to compliment my dress, they are such great shoes!!!

The quality of the dresses were amazing. My communication with Ashleigh was really good. I did have a few issues during the process nothing major but did taint my experience a little bit; the dresses were ready a little later than originally indicated (didn’t cause any issues for the wedding), I was told I could pay in person by credit card but when I arrived at the store was told they don’t take credit. I sent through one of my bridesmaids measurements and the dress was way too big. I ended up having to take it to a local dressmaker to have it taken in. I was most disappointed that my other bridesmaid had made an appointment when she was in Wellington (we are in Waikato) to try on a dress in the same style to check sizing. When she arrived at the scheduled time she was told that she didn’t need to try anything on and that she just needed to give her measurements. Thankfully she could try a dress in another style as measurements told her a 10 but size 8 was a perfect fit. I can’t fault the quality of the dresses and I would expect that for the price as they are not cheap for something that isn’t made to size but I was left a little disappointed by a few things during the process.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be chosen as the winners of the New Zealand Wedding Magazine “Win your dream wedding” competition. Our three bridesmaids had the honour of being dressed by Sally Eagle. The team were great to work with. It took a few weeks for me to select the dresses and it definitely helped to go into Frimrose and Finch, their stockists up here in Auckland to see the dresses in flesh! All correspondence was done over email which was super easy and effecient. Sally also sent me samples to help decide on a colour palette. Once we had chosen (Amelia design) we sent the girls measurements, so they could make the dresses to the closest size. The dresses were posted not long after and were far better than I had imagined. I think the dresses look far better in person than on the website and are constructed to perfection. The only thing was there were a few dots left on in some of the seams and edges (with a sewing pen?) and we had to carefully sponge off so you couldn’t see them. But all in all Sally, Ashleigh and the team are a dream to work with and I would def recommend them!!!
