Peter Duncan from The Wedding Guy was the perfect celebrant for us, not only was he professional, respectful and flexible but showed qualities of being a leader in his field and was pro-active about creating a very special day for us. It was important for us to have someone who shared a similar sense of humour as us and shared our level of excitement towards the upcoming nuptials. He was recommended to us and I would have no trouble recommending him to others, he is a great guy who loves LOVE!

Peter was the celebrant of friends of mine and after attending their wedding i thought what a cool celebrant, Peter is the kind of personality to stick in your mind, and he did. A few years later it was my sisters wedding and when she asked my opinion on a celebrant, Peter was such an obvious first choice.
His approach is modern, humorous, professional and relaxed.
His ability to engage the guests is second to none, and he has a natural gift too also host “off the cuff”, which is always an asset when in the work of public speaking.
Peter could relax any nervous groom or any stressed bride, he is friendly, sincere and goes above and beyond, respectful of peoples personal requests and choices and really delivers what any modern couple would wish for.
His communication is professional and replies to emails or texts promptly which i think is an excellent first impression.
Peter is nothing short of wonderful,  being a celebrate is his passion and his love for his job shines through in his work.

Mike and I 1 st meet Peter at our friends wedding back in 2013, Mike said to me if we ever get married Peter is who we will use and so we did!!

Peter was amazing I cant recommend him highly enough from our 4 am Facebook chats to the amazing wedding service he did for us,There was much laughter and tears and Peter even became part of the wedding party when he escorted our groomsman down the isle after the service (after our 9 year old decided to steal the bridesmaid!)

We first met Peter at a friends wedding and signed him up to officiate at our wedding that day.

Peter’s style was exactly what we were after in a celebrant… Professional and humourous. Peter had everything in hand right from the beginning which allowed us to stress about the other things we had to organise for the big day. In the lead up to the day, Peter was available to answer any questions and was on hand to calm any jitters.

Peter was completely accommodating in what we wanted in our ceremony and in the lead up to the big day. Due to a scheduling issue with the venue, we couldn’t do the rehearsal there, but no problem… Peter did the rehearsal at the motel… complete with music and a mock aisle.

On the day Peter was a star. Peter’s style alleviates any nerves and made all our guests feel so welcome and engaged.

My mother and i first met Peter at the tauranga wedding show. After speaking with him and finding his personality perfect to wed my husband and i, we met him again so my husband could meet him. He found him to be best suited also. Peter was very helpful with emails along the way, helping with ideas for other planning too. On the day i was so nervous, peter met as i arrived before my guests had seen me, a few words from him and i was alot calmer. Standing infront of everyone, peter done so well adding in a few laughs and helping with our speaking for each other. Thanks again Peter

I was lucky enough to meet Peter Duncan at The Wedding Affair at Trinity Warf. He was instantly friendly, humorous and made me feel very special. We chose to book with a different celebrant as my groom is a little more traditional and wanted an older lady. A few months later I ran into Peter at the gym and decided to say hi. In the months leading up to the wedding Peter was always there, a friend and confidant, slipping easily into his professional hat when I asked for recommendations on suppliers.  He always kept in contact, interested to know how our plans were coming along and still sending me information. The day before the wedding I was lucky enough to spot him & his wife Valeta in a shop. Both had very reassuring words and sound advice. It was these words I kept in mind that helped me settle the nerves. We had a very relaxed and fun ceremony. Everyone commented on how very ‘us’ we were. I am forever grateful for the way Peter treated me just like one of his brides. As his wife said “Peter loves his brides” And yes he most certainly does.

I cannot thank Peter enough for his fabulous work officiating our big day, the majority of our correspondence with Peter was online as we live in Auckland and were planning our wedding in Taupo, and despite this Peter was so prompt and helpful with his replies and managed to plan exactly what we wanted from our ceremony and when we did meet with him (the day before the wedding) everything was all organised from his end, we did a quick run through and that was it. He made planning the ceremony just such a breeze and completely took away the stress of it for us. He is fun and upbeat, an all round pleasure to deal with and both my new husband and I would highly recommend him to everyone wanting to plan their wedding ceremony with total enjoyment and ease.

Peter was an excellent celebrant for our semi-destination wedding (my husband has family in NZ).  We live in the United States, which made communication with vendors more complicated.  Pete was quick to respond to emails and even met with us over skype before we came to NZ.  He was very professional and always made us feel like our wedding was an important day to him as well.

I can not thank you enough for your role in helping us make our wedding day everything we wanted it to be.

You didnt flinch when we told you it wasn’t a normal wedding, that you would have to wear make up and dress like a zombie and you only drew the smallest breath when we asked you to pop out of coffin for our surprise zombie wedding. Your reaction to the rings being presented on a cut off hand covered in blood…I will remember forever ha ha

I really liked how you parked down the road so that you wouldn’t give the surprise away if any of our friends drove past : )

Peter was/is amazing. The flow and style of the wedding ceremony were perfect, and so “us.” All of our guests were so comfortable at our ceremony, just as we both we so comfortable throughout our time working with him. We had so many compliments on our ceremony being the best people have ever been to, and with Peter being the best, easiest, and funniest celebrant people have seen. He really helped set the tone for our guests. I highly recommend Peter to everyone looking for a fun, yet sentimental and emotional feel for a celebrant for their day. We especially like the homework he has for each couple. Helping giving our guests a better insight into our relationship and what makes us work. Thank you again so much Peter. We had an amazing experience with Peter.  Even though things were running behind on the bridal party end, he managed to be flexible and keep things going and running smoothly.  Great humour to keep the guests entertained and enjoying the celebration.  Thank you so much for a great day Peter!

Peter married us on the 16th of november 2013. He was a-m-a-z-i-n-g… what we loved about Peter is from the mintue we meet him at tauranga wedding expo he made us feel very welcomed,  loving,he was super friendly. From that day on till our wedding day a year and a half later he remembered everything about our lives.kept in contact with us . We felt like we were old family friends he was that warmly.  Our wedding day was fantastic and having peter as our celebrate was the best thing we did our guest absolutely loved him. They laughed and they cried. It was a very special day for us and we couldnt of asked for a better celebrate.  He even helped out with a few extra things that wasnt on his list if things to do. Hes a all round awesone guy and he is amazing at what he does.

Peter married us on a very wet and rainy day. He was flexible when venues were changed due to the weather, each meeting was a pleasure and we had alot of fun at the rehearsal the day before the wedding. He was on time, reliable and suggested alternate hair dressers when mine cancelled 5 days before my wedding. Very open and welcoming to what we wanted as a couple on our special day. He is worth the money we spent on having him as our celebrant.

We had the smallest wedding ever…just ourselves, best man and man of honor. Peter made us feel like we were royalty. Planning a continent away, he helped with details for our photographer, and even made calls for photo site/wedding dinner…he personalized our ceremony,..creating moments of tenderness and spontaneous laughter. We plan to renew our vows on our 2016 trip back to beautiful NZ, but only if we can have Peter again,

As a photographer I have seen many weddings, my most enjoyable weddings have been those where Peter was the celebrant. His style is like no other, he is cool, calm and super relaxed.
